First-quarter moon. Best phase of the month. The line between light and dark throws long shadows across the craters so it actually looks 3D.
Binoculars work. Telescope is better. You don’t need dark skies.
Venus is maxed out after sunset in the west.
Hard to miss if you look.
Meanwhile a Progress just docked to the ISS, Rocket Lab lofted another radar sat out of New Zealand, and SpaceX has a Starlink window from Vandenberg tonight.

They’re waiting for $80k, $100k, their cost basis, a green month, a new ATH. The number is supposed to prove they were right, that the pain was worth it, that they can finally relax. Until it prints, they’re restless. When it prints, they immediately pick the next one.
The ones who last are waiting for themselves to stop needing one.
