Prep Hoops Iowa

2028 Norwalk SF Andrew Abbott has played well in his first 5-on-5 game. 6-6 wing can score inside and out. Active on the glass on both ends, uses his length effectively on defensive end. @NorwalkHoops #PHExpoIA

2027 Red Oak SF Reese Montgomery has been really good this afternoon. 6-5 combo forward can play with or without the ball in his hands. Shoots it well off the catch, moves off the ball to find spaces and get his feet set. Length can impact defensively. @Reese_M_22 #PHExpoIA

2028 Roosevelt CG Malon Taylor has played really well in his second game. Creative guard with handles, good finisher at the rim, can shoot off the catch. Handles it well, quick first step. #PHExpoIA

2027 Des Moines North SG T’Angello Bush is one of the best pure scorers in the gym today. Has the ball on a string, can shoot it from anywhere. Keeps defender off balance with change of speeds. Good shot creator for his teammates as well. #PHExpoIA

2028 ADM SG Tate Troster is a ton of fun to watch on the offensive end. 6-3 off-ball guard is always moving, cutting, finding spaces in the defense. Pure shooter with a quick release. Will be a nice additional scorer for the Tigers. @TateTroster_11 #PHExpoIA

I’ve got to get back to Iowa City for a wedding so my #PHExpoIA will be cut half a game short, but keep your eyes on @PrepHoopsIA later tonight and throughout the next week for tons of coverage from myself and @EliotClough!

Good morning from Kingdom Hoops and the annual #PHExpoIA. We’ve got a packed gym with players from the 2026-2028 classes. Just getting started with 3-on-3 play for around an hour before we move into 5-on-5 action.

2027 Bondurant-Farrar PF Drake Pfaltzgraff off to a good start this morning in 3-on-3. Big frame at 6-6, has improved his handle and ability to create off the dribble. Good athlete, soft hands, active and moves his feet well. @dpfaltzgraff_ #PHExpoIA

2028 Western Dubuque PG Lincoln Hickie playing at a high level in 3-on-3. Able to create off the dribble for teammates, sees the floor well. Good shooter off both dribble and catch with quick release. Absorbs contact in the paint. @Lincolnhickie35 #PHExpoIA

2028 Iowa City West SF Rashaad Fox has some tools in the toolbox. 6-3, tough, physical. Can bully his way to the rim against smaller defenders. Has some length on the defensive end. @Rashaad_Fox #PHExpoIA

2027 Waterloo West PG Derrick Akines is so good with the ball in his hands. Handles it well, sees the floor, good footwork. Plays with pace, can change speeds. Uses his frame effectively. @DerrickAkines15 #PHExpoIA

2027 North Scott wing Drew Fischer was good in 3-on-3 and is shining early in 5-on-5. 6-3 wing with length, bouncy athlete. Competing on the glass and on D. Looks to attach off the bounce. @DrewFischer152 #PHExpoIA

2028 North Iowa SF Rock Hughes was a favorite of mine at the Freshman Showcase last year, and he’s been really good here today as well. 6-3 wing can handle it, shoots it really well off the catch. Embraces contact, good defender, active on glass. @rockwellhughes5 #PHExpoIA

2027 Muscatine wing Sam Church has taken his game over. 6-4, can do a little bit of everything on the floor. Moves his feet well and utilities his length on defense. Active on the glass. Great body control at the rim. Great second jump. @SamChurch40 #PHExpoIA

2028 CR Washington PG Trae Fields is picking up right where he left off last year. Electric shot maker and creator. So good off the dribble and fearless despite his small frame. Love watching him play. @Attack_bball #PHExpoIA

2027 Champaign Central (IL) PG Cayden Love is an explosive, strong athlete. Finishes above the rim with authority. Embraces contact around the bucket. Can change speeds. Solid on-ball defender who moves his feet. @CLove2_ #PHExpoIA
