There’s something sick about this.
Yes, you’re supposed to teach your son discipline. A teenager needs to learn that when someone says stop, you stop, especially when they’re trying to leave.
But telling your son, who is doing what he thinks is a harmless joke with his sister, “Do you know what a boy who doesn’t stop when a girl says stop grows up to be? A man who doesn’t stop when a woman says no” is telling him, “This behaviour is evidence of the kind of sexual predator you could become.”
And telling your son that your own experience of sexual violation “still lives in your body” because he was picking on his own SISTER is an enormous emotional burden to put on that child.
Discipline the boy. Teach him boundaries. Make him understand that “stop” means stop.
But why are you comparing a teenage boy teasing his sister to the man who assaulted his mother?
Have we all lost our minds???
My daughter is fourteen. Last night I watched her stand in our kitchen, shrinking into herself, telling her older brother "stop" for the fifth time while he kept going. Laughing. Blocking the doorway. Not touching her, but not letting her leave either.
I saw her face. I know that face. It's the face I made at nineteen, at a party, when I said no and it didn't matter.
I stepped between them and said, "Your sister said stop. Five times. You heard her. Do you know what a boy who doesn't stop when a girl says stop grows up to be? A man who doesn't stop when a woman says no"......

The mistake lovers make is assuming a good heart automatically attracts another good heart. It doesn't. If you aren't ruthless about vetting who you let in, you'll keep handing genuine love to the worst people.

And less likely to protect yourself from risk too. Ask a Nigerian why they don’t have a fire alarm or extinguisher at home and they will say fire won’t be their portion ijn because they serve God.

Humility is a virtue, invisibility is not.
We’ve been sold humility for far too long. Brilliant people are taught to downplay their abilities, hide their achievements, and avoid tooting their own horn because it might be seen as pride.
But if you don’t tell your story, others will tell it for you.
Make noise about your abilities, your skills, and your achievements. Stop waiting for the world to announce you.
Announce yourself!
“Sam Loco was the most intelligent Nollywood actor that ever lived. He had an active subconscious mind that he's capable of hearing what one is saying from a far distance. If you have a scene to play with him, he would only read with you once. He would tell you to go and rehearse your own lines. And when you miss your lines during acting, he would remind you about your lines.🫢🙆 Sam Loco was from another planet, and it's really unfortunat£ that he passed away without being given a national honor.”💔

It’s insane how y’all have normalized not holding women accountable, you have to let her win, happy wife happy home, even in movies you see a couple quarrel and it’s the man who has to move out to maintain peace like wdym you’re apologizing from the dog house for being right 🤦🏾♂️
Anytime I see a group of women performatively declare they want nothing to do with a specific set of men, I know it’s a coping mechanism for unmet desires. If they truly didn’t care, they’d be indifferent; all that loud hostility is just a way to cope with unreciprocated interest

nigerians can be so narrow minded and embarrassing at times.. at your big age and in 2026, you're telling me that the reason the rain didn't fall is cause some dibia nearby "chased it away"...💔
This app doesn’t change anybody; it’s just an echo chamber where pre-existing traits are amplified. Here, you meet like minds who reinforce both the good and the bad in you. If you’re a smart, curious person, you gain more knowledge. If you’re a blind follower, you get dumber.
Ever since the man I used to donate to passed, I’ve been wary of knowing who it goes to. The grief hit too hard for someone I’d known for just 3 months. Not sure I can handle that kind of attachment anymore, so these days I just walk into the blood bank, donate, and leave.
