Local Staff Training Program was conducted at the MOFA and other locations for 60 local staff members active in Japan's diplomatic missions abroad, such as embassies and consulates-general. Local staff are a valuable workforce indispensable for developing Japan's diplomacy, especially the activities of its diplomatic missions abroad. Ambassador in charge of Gaza Rebuilding Assistance OKUBO held the first meeting of the Japan-NCAG Working Group on the Rebuilding of Gaza online with Dr. Shaath, Chief Commissioner of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG). I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the victims of the train collision in the Province of Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain and express my sympathy to their families. I also pray for the swift recovery of those who were injured. Furthermore, the Government of Spain has informed us that two Japanese nationals were included on the train's passenger list. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established response headquarters and is currently working to confirm their safety. The Government of Japan will continue to do its utmost to ensure the protection of its nationals, in cooperation with the Spanish authorities.

The IAEA published a report on the analytical results of samples of seawater and fishery products collected in the vicinity of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings(TEPCO) by Japanese laboratories, the IAEA officials and experts from third-party laboratories from China, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Switzerland selected by the IAEA in September 2025, as part of the additional measures under the IAEA framework. mofa.go.jp/press/release/pre…
