WordPress 7.1.4 is available across the Pressidium platform as of today.
Security release: a batch of stored XSS fixes, many reachable from Contributor accounts, plus a race condition during core updates that could lead to RCE.

Pressidium EDGE is fast. That's exactly why we bypass the cache first when a site feels slow.
A cached page never runs the slow query. The next cache miss runs it anyway. Find the problem at origin, then let EDGE do its job.

ALT Diagram titled "Debugging a slow WordPress site?" A cache hit goes from visitor to edge cache to page, marked fast. A cache miss (first request after a purge, excluded URLs, wp-admin) goes from visitor to PHP, database and a slow query before the page, marked slow. Caption: "Bypass the cache and test the bottom path first."
On Oct 21, PHP fixed two critical flaws (CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619), both CVSS 9.2. A crafted request could get a vulnerable server to run attacker code, no login needed.
PHP said update immediately. Our engineers had the Pressidium platform patched within hours.
Props to the PHP security team: a day's notice, an exact release time, a clear advisory. For a managed host the rest is routine, with the runbook and on-call engineers ready before it drops.
Running PHP yourself? Fixed: 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, 8.2.35. Don't wait.

Automatic plugin updates are easy.
A scheduled workflow that updates on staging, tests the site, pushes to production with an automatic instant backup, rolls back on failure and reports the result?
That’s more interesting. 🧵
If everything passes, push the tested changes to production.
Pressidium creates an automatic instant backup as part of that deployment.
If a check fails, stop, restore or roll back as appropriate, and report exactly what happened.
No extra WordPress plugin.
No separate plugin-update service.
No MCP server for you to deploy or maintain.
Now imagine the same workflow across 20, 50, or 100 WordPress sites.
Just one idea for Pressidium MCP.

Pressidium MCP is waiting for instructions.
Connect Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code directly to Pressidium and work with your actual hosting account through conversation.
There are 55 supported capabilities already. 🧵
Ask it to check plugin vulnerabilities, create a backup, update WordPress, inspect slow MySQL queries, review firewall activity, run a performance test, work with staging, restore a backup, manage caching and more.
We host the MCP server. No extra WordPress plugin to install.
Optional Agent Skills add repeatable workflows for site health, plugin audits, backups, performance, reliability, staging and capacity planning.
Pressidium MCP is currently in beta and free for existing customers.

Filtering thousands of WordPress posts or products can get expensive fast.
That’s why we like the engineering behind @rossmorsali’s Search & Filter: indexed search, AJAX results, faceted filtering, and a real focus on performance.

Slow WordPress doesn’t automatically mean “add more CPU.”
One bad query can scan millions of rows and hold up dynamic requests.
Pressidium’s MySQL Slow Query Log shows you what MySQL is actually doing, with execution details + Copy EXPLAIN.

Cookie consent shouldn’t come with a performance tax.
Pressidium Cookie Consent is FOSS, dependency-free and now at 10,000+ active installs.
From infrastructure to cookie consent, performance and responsible consent handling are part of the same engineering mindset.

WordPress 7.1.2 fixes a critical vulnerability that can, under certain conditions, lead to unauthenticated RCE.
WordPress recommends updating immediately.
At Pressidium, 7.1.2 has been the default since release.
