Yes I am aware the woman won and the coffee actually burned her. I was pointing out the average person is not aware of that. Which is the issue with using it as an example. Bc people misunderstand the actual case. I have taken a business law class.

No I understand that. I was just pointing that it’s often used to say American are stupid and have to be told that hot coffee is hot, so it’s not the best example to show why this is such a big deal. I’m totally on the side of a disclaimer/warning of poison.

The issue with the McDonald’s coffee lawsuit is that it’s often misconstrued (especially outside of the US) even though the elderly lady had like 3rd degree burns from the coffee spilling on her.
