Jail suicide is one of those issues that, once you study it, never leaves you.
People are booked, often in withdrawal, without proper medical access, isolated from loved ones, in an environment with little oversight. Many of these deaths are preventable, in theory at least.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in jails yet the overwhelming majority of people incarcerated do not have access to call 988.
Jails can absolutely provide access. They just don’t.

I reported these issues to two MD dealerships and to Subaru of America, and I even sent them video evidence. Still, Subaru has not fixed these problems or given any safety disclaimers. Their lack of response makes me question whether they care about customer safety.@SUBARU_CORP
