After discovering this baby elephant trapped in a well, we knew time was tight. Her mother was standing guard, frantic but helpless, so our first job was to move her to a safe distance. Then there was nothing left to do but jump in and haul the 200 kg calf out. Once she found her feet, she ran off and reunited with her mother at the tree line.
