I’M F*CKING BEGGING YOU MAN:
> TTFM daily candle 4H profile 1H/30M swing 5m/3m OB or CISD entry
>get a $50K futures account
>pass the evaluation
>protect your funded account
>collect $1.5K–$2K payouts
>stop getting distracted by fullport gamblers
here's EXACTLY how i'd approach this:
/1 MASTER ONE MODEL
you literally don't need 15 different strategies.
start with the daily candle using TTFM.
use the 4H to build your profile.
identify the 1H/30M swing you're trading from.
drop to the 5M/3M for your OB or CISD entry.
that's it.
same model. same process. every single day.
/2 PICK THE RIGHT FUTURES ACCOUNT
get a $50K futures evaluation.
but don't just pick the cheapest account.
look for the BEST drawdown-to-profit-target ratio.
understand the trailing drawdown, consistency rules and payout conditions BEFORE paying.
the rules matter more than the account size.
/3 PASS YOUR EVALUATION
risk $500 per trade.
aim for 2–3R setups.
that's $1,000–$1,500 on a winning trade.
a few clean winners could be enough to pass, depending on the firm's target and rules.
you don't need 20 trades a day.
you need patience and execution.
/4 FUNDED = RISK MANAGEMENT
THIS IS WHERE MOST PEOPLE F*CK UP.
once you're funded, FORGET the evaluation risk.
drop to $200 risk per trade.
if your available loss limit is $2K, that's roughly 10 full stop-outs before fees and drawdown adjustments.
target 2–2.5R.
that's $400–$500 per winning trade.
your job isn't to flip the account.
it's to KEEP IT.
/5 TAKE YOUR PAYOUTS
aim for $1.5K–$2K payouts when your profits and the firm's rules allow it.
withdraw. protect your capital. repeat.
stop obsessing over traders posting $20K days.
stop comparing yourself to full-porters risking everything on one trade.
you don't need to hit a home run every morning.
you need a repeatable system, disciplined risk management and the patience to execute it.
the goal isn't to LOOK like a profitable trader.
it's to survive long enough to become one.
what a time to be alive...

3 underrated trading feelings:
1. the tilt streak finally ends because you blew the account 😭
2. your stop gets hit after an hour of breakeven chop
3. closing at B/E and genuinely not caring where price goes next

prop firms: "we want you to succeed"
also prop firms:
→ intraday trailing drawdown
→ consistency rules
→ payout caps
→ support that never answers
→ payouts denied or delayed for nonsense
→ platforms that lag when it matters
trading is hard enough already.

B/E on $NQ today.
4H C3 → 30m C2 → 3m CISD entry.
It is what it is. I'll take a breakeven over a loss any day.
We go next. 🙏

a year ago I couldn't hold a Funded account or get a Payout to save my life.
today i'm well above breakeven.
what saved me wasn't a better strategy. it was managing risk.
I only lost 1-2 evals a month (some months more). that kept me in the game long enough for TTFM to finally click.
and because i'd lost so little on evals, a couple of payouts put me way past breakeven.
thank god for TTFM, the NY session and risk management. and shoutout to the guys in the @hwftrades discord for holding me accountable.
I took those habits with me, and i still trade like that.
survival comes first.
end of the month payout time.
I swear to god, all you need is. @TTrades_edu’s fractal model, 2R targets, $200–250 risk on a $50k account and your own discretion.
if you’re capped at $2k per payout, why risk more than $200–250 a trade??
this space is cooked by affiliate farmers making full-port $2k–3k days look normal on accounts with only $2k drawdown.
don’t get fooled by those mfs.
if someone gets endless free accounts, they can keep blowing them and taking another shot. you’re paying for your attempts.
the winning screenshots don’t tell you how many accounts it took to get there.
you don’t have unlimited accounts. don’t trade like you do.
if you guys want, I can make a thread of all the winning trades this month.

First of all, idk where you got that interpretation of the @TTrades_edu Fractal Model.
You’ve reduced the Fractal Model to a simple C2 sweep + CISD wtff???.
But where’s the context?
The Fractal Model combines mechanical rules with discretion. That’s not a contradiction.
The rules narrow down WHERE you look for trades. Discretion helps determine WHICH setups are actually worth taking.
You can have a textbook C2 sweep + CISD and still have absolutely no reason to take the trade in that context.
That’s the point: less ambiguity than pure discretion, more flexibility than a completely rigid system. Structure around where to look, judgment around what to take.
Your backtest is useful. It shows that your specific mechanical interpretation didn’t produce an edge over the period tested. But that doesn’t automatically mean the entire model has no edge.
And to be fair, discretionary trading isn’t automatically profitable either.
You’re testing an entry pattern and drawing conclusions about an entire trading framework. Those are two very different things.
Next time, before attacking someone else’s approach to promote your algo, at least do 30 minutes to an hour of due diligence on the model. You’d have realized your interpretation was wrong from the start.

First of all, thank you @traderkane for opening the room for us
Looking for a PropFirmMatch alternative? This is for you.
PropFirmMonitor is stepping into the prop firm space, and we're doing it our way.
80 firm listings. 1,300+ account records.
Futures. Forex. Crypto. Perps.
The goal is simple: give traders a data base to compare, clearer rules, and fewer reasons to overpay.
No affiliate deal? Still listed.
No code for us to earn from? Still listed.
@Topstep , @TradingLucid , @MyFundedFutures and @Tradeify are in our database even though we don't have affiliate codes with them. That's how it should be.
We're building more than a list:
• Account matching based on your inputs
• Account comparison and cost tools
• Strategy-based matching, free indicators and a risk management center on the roadmap
And we want the money side to be clear too: labelled paid placements, links to our data sources, and public affiliate earnings and giveaway reporting as we build that out.
Long term? A prop firm database that's as open as we can make it. Built for the traders, not just the partners.
This is the start. Tell us which firm or tool you want next.
propfirmmonitor.com
Effective immediately @PropFirmMatch affiliate partnership is terminated.
All their commissions for the month are forfeited, and financial claims are going to be pursued.
We have caught the cookies practices in August, took actions on it and Our rank dropped from Nr. 1 best seller to Nr.10.
Plus being told that traders picking us over other firms costs them money, which I understand since their commission is same as any other affiliate.
Since the beginning we have supported them, tech, expertise and features, yet that business grew into something I personally don’t believe in.
Adios 👊🏽

2R+ on $NQ shorts today to lock a payout!
A clean example of how I used the ADR projections of the indicator to frame a TP.
PDL was already taken, but there was still plenty of distance to the lower ADR projection.
I took the short on the 90m smt + 1m OB entry
and set TP at the low-hanging fruit just above it.
Once the ADR target (yellow line) was hit, price started reversing.

Your A+ setup might be a terrible trade.
I keep seeing traders take A+ setups while completely ignoring two things:
1. The PDH/PDL they’re targeting has already been taken.
2. Price has already used 150% of its ADR.
And this is exactly why I reworked GXV HTF Profiler and added DOL + ADR.
Your pattern might look perfect, but if your main draw on liquidity is already taken, what exactly are you targeting? A random dollar amount?
And if price has already expanded well beyond its average daily range, you could be entering just as volatility starts fading and end up stuck in chop.
A textbook setup means very little if you ignore the context.
An A+ pattern doesn’t automatically mean an A+ trade.

One bad trading month doesn't mean a bad trading year.
One bad trading year doesn't mean a bad trading career.

trading has a very specific kind of misery that no one talks about.
you sit down convinced today will feel different, then the same chart loads on the same monitor and you realise you've clocked in for the exact same day again.
same session. same model. same asset. same time. same risk. same strategy. same setup. same chair. same monitor. same caffeine. same levels. same TradingView tab. same fucking routine.
you mark the same levels, wait for the same setup and watch price take the longest possible route to doing absolutely anything.
somehow five minutes feels like an entire shift. then you blink and the move is over.
at some point you start feeling like a robot with a caffeine problem.
wake up. open charts. mark levels. wait. click. manage. screenshot. journal. close charts. repeat.
the computer gets to restart. you just sleep for a few hours and load back into the same session.
the result changes, but the routine barely does.
green day, same desk.
red day, same desk.
breakeven day, same desk, except now you've spent four hours doing all that for the financial equivalent of standing still.
and you can hear yourself explaining it to someone.
yes, i trade the same thing. yes, around the same time. yes, with the same rules. yes, i will be back tomorrow to do it again.
saying it out loud makes you sound like an NPC describing its daily quest.
then someone asks why you look so tired.
you've been sitting down all morning.
how do you explain that you've spent half the session arguing with yourself over whether a tiny rectangle on your screen has finished moving?
I wanted financial freedom and somehow gave myself a jail where I stare at candles, narrate my own mistakes and report back to a spreadsheet.
anyway.
same setup tomorrow. same risk. same time. same asset. same monitor.
see you at the open.
I usually don't get involved in prop firm drama, but this response from @Topstep is genuinely disingenuous for a firm that constantly markets itself as “trader-first.”
They justified moving a trader to Live day before payout partly because he was buying accounts at a pace that “annualizes to roughly 700 per year.”
700 ÷ 52 = roughly 13.5 accounts a week.
If you're trading 5-account stacks, that's less than 3 stacks a week.
Is that aggressive? Sure. But the guy also managed to take 4 payouts in his first 3 weeks.
And the funny part is you're assuming he's going to maintain that exact pace for an entire year.
What if he blows a few stacks, passes another, and keeps those accounts for 3 months?
Your whole projection falls apart.
I'm not saying Topstep can't move traders to Live. It's literally part of their model.
But using a hypothetical annual figure based on just a few weeks of activity to justify the decision is a pretty weak argument.
And if he really was moved to Live just one day before his next payout, that timing deserves an explanation too.
If you're going to market yourself as trader-first, at least explain the actual risk concerns instead of throwing around annual projections that might never materialize.
@Topstep, do better.
Replying to @yusuftrades @MichaelPatak
Yes, we called you up to Live, and as you continue to build there, an amount equal to your XFA balances will be released into your Live Account.
You earned four payouts in your first three weeks while purchasing accounts at a pace that annualizes to roughly 700 per year.
Topstep exists to help traders learn to trade and pay themselves along the way. It isn’t a SIM lottery. Everyone is welcome, but repeatedly cycling through accounts will eventually mean proving your strategy in Live.

Trading is so hard because it goes against almost every human survival instinct.
you want to avoid danger → you close a trade in drawdown even though the setup is still valid.
you want an immediate reward → you take +1R instead of waiting for your planned +3R.
you want to avoid a pain/loss → you refuse to take your stop.
you want to follow the crowd → you buy because everyone else is bullish.
you want to fight back → you revenge trade after a loss.
you want certainty → you hesitate on a perfectly valid setup.
and the worst part?
you break your rules, make money, and your brain reinforces the exact behaviour you're trying to eliminate/
your brain is wired for survival, not trading.
you basically have to reprogram the way you think.
trading is not for the weak-minded.

Another thing that genuinely pisses me off is @Topstep whole “trader-first” marketing.
Don't get me wrong, i’d still put them in my top 5 futures firms. Potentially even top 3.
But bro, spare me the bullshit that every business decision is some favour to traders.
You make money from people failing evaluations. That's literally part of your business model. And that's fine. You're running a business.
But @MichaelPatak , if everything is so trader-first, why do you still have monthly rebills???
A trader on a 50k eval needs to make 6% to pass. If they don't pass within a month, they're paying again.
So you're basically putting pressure on traders to rush, overtrade, or take bad setups just to beat the deadline.
How exactly is that in the trader's best interest???
Meanwhile, @ajtradinglucid removed monthly rebills at @TradingLucid .
And the funny thing is, lucid doesn't constantly pretend every decision is made purely out of love for traders.
They're pretty open about trying to build a sustainable business so they can keep payouts flowing.
And i respect that a hell of a lot more.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with running a profitable business.
i’d rather hear “we need to run a sustainable business to keep paying traders” than have every rule sold to me as something done for my benefit.
you're running a business bro. just say that.
i respect it way more than this “all for the traders” bullshit.

One tip for trading with futures prop firms. try not to let your balances sit more than $10–15k above your buffer. Stay lowkey and take payouts when you can.
Wouldn't surprise me if they have some system flagging accounts with $15k+ in potential payouts.
In this example, that's almost $28k in payouts they could potentially avoid paying out right away just by moving him to Live lol.
Just my theory tho 👀
Bro why you did put me to live, 1 day before payout time :((
28.000$ profit just gone for nothing….
