Reaching students where they are matters.
This year’s high school tour covered 1,771 miles across Tennessee, connecting with students and highlighting that a UT education is within reach, no matter where they call home.
There is so much talent and potential in rural communities. Every student should know they have a place at UT and a path to get there. Thank you to @insidehighered for highlighting this important work.

More and more Tennesseans are seeing the value of higher education, believing a college degree is worth the investment and that UT provides a high-quality, affordable education. That’s incredibly encouraging, but we’re not finished!
To truly make this the greatest decade in UT’s history, we have to keep working every day to earn that confidence and make sure more Tennessee students and hard-working families see where a degree can take them.
Tennesseans are increasingly confident in UT and the value of a college degree. For students and families across Tennessee, the message is clear: higher education remains a pathway to opportunity, and more Tennesseans are recognizing its value.

Congratulations to @TNedu on receiving nearly $8 million to strengthen how Tennessee recruits, develops, and supports educators in high-need schools! 🎉
Awarded through the federal Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program, this grant will help eligible districts and public charter schools build educator leadership pathways, strengthen evaluation, and put strategic staffing and incentives in place. At SCORE, we believe every student should have access to excellent educators and every educator should have a career that lets them grow and lead. Advanced teacher roles are one of the most promising ways to make both true.
We're excited to see what this investment makes possible for Tennessee's teachers and students, and we look forward to continuing to support this work.

A college degree can open doors, and we want every Tennessee student to see just how many opportunities are within their reach. 🎉
@UTChattanooga Chancellor Lori Bruce joined us today at Meigs, McMinn County, Polk County and McMinn Central high schools as we challenged students to think big, understand the value of a college degree and explore the opportunities across our five UT campuses.
There’s nothing better than seeing students start to realize what’s possible and the future they can build right here in Tennessee!
