ALT April 4, 2025 Instructions from the State Instructions for Personal Assistants who have started or completed registration with PPL but cannot log hours: Record your time on this paper timesheet, following these instructions. Submit your timesheet to PPL by fax to 1-844-244-4384 or by email to [email protected]. (There is also a physical mailing address listed on the form.) Instructions for Personal Assistants who have NOT started registration with PPL: The CDPAP Consumer should call their MCO or LDSS. The New York State Department of Health suggests that you tell your MCO or LDSS: “I am a consumer who has not yet started or completed my registration with Public Partnerships LLC and I wish to have my personal assistants stay with my prior FI. I understand that pursuant to the Temporary Restraining Order issued by a federal judge, that you must ensure my assistants are paid.”

ALT Across New York, a powerful coalition of voices is speaking out against the state’s plan to hand over its home care program to PPL - an out-of-state, private equity–backed corporation. Their voices are united in a clear message: New Yorkers call for an immediate stop or delay to this plan to protect the people who rely on home care.

ALT “PPL’s glitchy tech system erases progress, trapping us in endless loops of error messages, and when we call for support, the call center representatives cannot answer our questions. After weeks of effort, we just learned my daughter’s caregivers will earn 45 cents less per hour. It’s already difficult to find caregivers, and now, lower wages and this rushed process are chasing even more away from this honorable career. With April 1st just days away, PPL has yet to release required training, meaning no one is payroll-ready. If caregivers experience delays or disruptions in pay, they will leave. How will New York help the people who will be in crisis when that happens?” --Heather, Hilton, NY
