Hell is freezing over. But it is a good thing, and very positive signal from Berlin. I wrote many times how EU's own "renewable target" is disfunctinal. Countries like 🇲🇫 would be obligated to build new gas+renewables to meet the target, increasing CO2 emissions. Crazy. Enter "clean power target" which is the ultimate goal here, which is technologically agnostic and even 🇩🇪 starts to recognize it. "Cat needs to catch the mice. It does not matter if it is black or white." /Deng/ Next: 🇩🇪 realizes that they have spent almost a 1000 bln € replacing one low carbon source with another. But you can't force others in the 🇪🇺 to commit to the same level of self-sabotagge. This is on You: Angela and Schröder. – at Siechnice gmina, Polska

Holy shit. So it turns out Israel had given the UK intel that there was going to be an Iranian sponsored attack on RAF Fairford. And what did the Labour government do the next day? They announced sanctions on Israel.

Darwin Award. Tesla ‘safest-car” hubris. No bro - full torque at zero rpm destroys tires. Nothing can save you from a blow out at top speed idiot. The only reason is he alives is because autobahn has full guardrails with limited curves.
Replying to @MatthewDR
Going that fast on public roads (even where legal) is truly ludicrous. Especially when your tires are not in perfect shape.

Actually when it comes to running an airline - it’s not about seat pitch, routes, on-time performance, or fuel cost. No. It’s about if you have spaceboy’s satellite WiFi or not.
The fall of Delta and the rise of United will be studied for years. All because one company couldn’t see passed their own political bias. Delta can still pivot and catch back up but time is running out.

The people you don’t know are under your nose will always surprise you. So this afternoon I just found out my neighbor is a retired nuclear engineer. Not only is he a retired nuclear engineer, he’s was one of the people who worked at Three Mile Island over 11 years in the decommissioning process for the partially melted reactor, And one of the four people who went into the containment vessel and used neutron detectors (his idea apparently) and cameras down the control rod channels to locate the melted fuel lof the partially melted down tmi reactor!!! 😳🤯🤩 So we just had a fascinating two-hour conversation about his career, which was really neat. He wrote a book too.

Know your real Avengers 🚨 - Captain Smit Machchhar, who fought the attacker and opened the cockpit - Asaf Redjuan, who rushed at the attacker - Israeli dad Tzvika Mans, who tied the attacker with a cable so he couldn't move - Yaniv Hayon, who handled the aircraft and kept it stable - Dr. Shota Musaev, who treated the captain and stopped the excessive bleeding. They all worked together and made sure all those 180 passengers landed safely. Truly, men are brave 🙏

You mean Canada doesn’t have enough domestic steel usage or demand for exports not to the United States? Come on man - elbows up.
Mark Carney on Stelco: "Our thoughts are with the workers and the families who have been betrayed by the company ... this situation is caused by the U.S. tariffs and the CEO applauded President Trump for putting those tariffs on."

The hijacker could have squawked code “allahu akbar” and the mainstream newsrooms would still call this an altercation.

X is now full of people who think they know how to run an airline now lol. And who love to pretend they actually work instead getting a drink and watching a movie like everyone else - after they answer that email of course.

This.
Color me skeptical of many actually switching from Delta to United over Starlink/Elon. They overlap on less than 5% of domestic routes, per Cirium data. So unless you live in LA or NYC (... & want to make Newark your new home), you're signing up for a lifetime of connections.

No. He isn’t. You don’t need high-speed internet to answer emails nor do you need it to work excel on a laptop. Delta is the most profitable mainline carrier in the USA. Ed isn’t getting fired because passengers, for another year, have to a few hours without Netflix. This is elons ultimate folly. Delta is a prize horse and they can demand a special deal because they are fucking Delta. When airbus won a big order from delta, they knew they had to make concessions because it’s fucking delta. Amazon has more money than god. They will eventually have more satellites than starlink. Instead of signing the major industry player to a long term deal - he wants to petty and childish.
