Anthony Albanese has done something no Australian prime minister has ever done before.
He's taken a free trade agreement — a document that is supposed to be about buying and selling — and he's stuffed it full of climate ideology until it's barely recognisable as trade at all.
This isn't a free trade deal. It's a climate agreement wearing a trade deal as a disguise.
Here's what his own government's documents admit. DFAT published a paper titled "Benefits for Trade, Environment and Climate," and buried in it is this line: for the first time in a free trade agreement, Australia has made a binding commitment to implement the obligations under the Paris Agreement.
Not a reference. Not a nod. A binding commitment. And the same document says the agreement can be suspended over serious violations of climate obligations.
So if a future Australian government — any government, Labor or Liberal — decides the Paris targets are too expensive, too punishing, too destructive to our economy, Europe can drag us before a dispute panel and suspend the deal. That's not sovereignty. That's a leash.
And Albanese knows exactly what he's doing. Ursula von der Leyen stood in our own Parliament and said she was proud to have made decarbonisation a defining pillar of this agreement. A defining pillar. In a trade deal. The woman running Europe didn't hide it. She celebrated it. And our Prime Minister sat there and smiled.
Now let's talk about what these targets actually mean for ordinary Australians. The 2030 target is a forty-three percent cut below two thousand and five levels. The Climate Change Authority itself admits emissions need to more than double their current rate of reduction to get there in four years.
The Institute of Public Affairs ran the numbers and found that meeting the twenty thirty-five target of sixty-two to seventy percent would require the equivalent of a two hundred and ninety billion dollar tax burden over a decade. That's not a rounding error. That's a generation of wealth confiscated in the name of a theory that Europe itself is quietly walking back as its own industries collapse.
And here's the kicker that should make every Australian furious. The European Union has told us point blank — once negotiations are done, they're done.
Don Farrell repeated it. There is no reopening. There is no amendment. Whatever is written in that text is written in stone, and it binds not just Albanese but every prime minister who comes after him.
This is a man who can't win a debate on climate policy at the ballot box, so he's outsourcing it to Brussels.
He's taking the most contentious, most divisive policy in Australian politics and locking it into an international treaty so that even if the people vote him out, the ideology survives him. That's not governance. That's entrenchment.
Why is any of this in a trade deal in the first place? Because the far left has learned that you can't sell climate destruction directly to voters, so you smuggle it in through the back door of agreements nobody reads.
You attach it to something people want — cheaper wine, more beef exports — and hope they don't notice the poison pill. And when the Coalition objects, Albanese calls them nativist and protectionist. He turns legitimate sovereignty concerns into a culture war so he doesn't have to answer the actual question: why should a future elected Australian government be unable to change its own energy policy without asking permission from Europe?
But before we get to the treaty, let's look at what the green agenda has already done to this country on its own. Because the damage isn't theoretical. It's on every power bill in Australia right now.
Household electricity bills are up thirty-five percent since the start of twenty twenty-two. Gas is up forty-nine percent.

Wondering how bad the Albanese government is. Here's a graph of annual productivity over the last 15 years. Gillard and Rudd did OK. Liberals were mostly good. Albanese has been catastrophic.

Absolutely pathetic leadership from the Prime Minister. He’s attacking the RBA. He should attack himself. Govt spending at 40 year highs.
Is everyone paying attention yet?
THE NATION IS ON FIRE.
We have a government that is completely out of control. This is worse than the dying days of Whitlam.
🔥The Prime Minister has misled Parliament in a desperate attempt to cover up the corrupt up the $6 million Marrickville Golf Club affair.
🔥The regime bullied Helen Haines by leaking a dirt sheet simply for speaking out against Albanese’s Marrickville Golf Club rort.
🔥They appear to have attempted to bribe a One Nation MP by offering him an extra $200,000 per annum staffing allowance — conduct that looks like a criminal offence under the Criminal Code.
🔥Ministers, including the Attorney-General, have been caught red-handed rorting their travel allowances and were forced to pay the money back.
🔥A clueless nincompoop in Chris Bowen is destroying our national electricity grid, driving power prices through the roof, and surrendering the competitive advantage Australia once held in low-cost energy. Businesses are shuttering shops across the country as a direct result.
🔥The biggest infrastructure project in the nation, Snowy 2.0, is a national embarrassment of financial incompetence — a giant money pit. The original $2 billion budget has blown out to between $40 and $50 billion, and it may still climb higher.
🔥A disgraced former New Zealand Prime Minister is being rewarded with a “Professor” title to farcically lecture on cohesion at the University of Sydney — an institution that already receives more than $1.2 billion in taxpayer funding.
🔥Meanwhile the economy is collapsing. Unemployment is rising. The government has lost control of inflation. Interest rates are set to rise again on Melbourne Cup day.
🔥GDP per capita is going backwards. Homelessness is at record levels.
🔥Productivity is in freefall. Productive businesses such as the Blayney Gold Mine are being blocked on fictitious grounds.
🔥Millions of taxpayer dollars are being spent apologising for paedophiles while the same government passes new laws to censor free speech, claiming they are “protecting the children.”
🔥Our military is under attack. They are persecuting Ben Roberts-Smith. They are trying to sell off Victoria Barracks. Our two largest naval vessels cannot put to sea. And they are planning to rewrite the War Memorial with exhibitions designed to shame Australians over the fact that Aboriginal societies were rescued from the Stone Age.
🔥Dodgy Dan Andrews is pulling the Prime Minister’s strings, having him attend suspect meetings with dodgy Chinese billionaires who are in dispute with the tax office.
🔥biological men are being given free rein to invade women’s and girls’ toilets and changerooms.
🔥Crime is surging. Home invasions, carjackings and machete mayhem — once foreign to Australia — are now everyday events under this government.
🔥Children are being so brainwashed by the Marxist infiltration of our education system that they planned to protest on Remembrance Day.
🔥Unprecedented rates of mass migration are being deployed as a tool to import Labor voters, as more and more Australians are feeling like foreigners in their own land.
Tax payer funded censorship no less.
Unsurprisingly, the ABC has decided to censor this story.
The ABC don’t want the Australian public to know that Albanese has likely tried to bribe a Member of Parliament - which would be a criminal offence.
The ABC are running a protection racket to cover up for Albanese.
The ABC deceive Australia, not just by the stories they broadcast - it’s also by what they hide.
It’s time to defund the ABC.

Early election time. @AlboMP has led a looting of taxpayer money.
Replying to @AustralianLabor
@AustralianLabor corruption under @AlboMP is widespread. Now it’s been revealed his Infrastructure Minister @CatherineKingMP has provided a $600,000 ‘renovation’ grant to the Labor Party office in her own constituency. Scandalous.

Albanese fucked up.
He obviously believed he could bribe Farley on the quiet & expected Farley to stay silent.
Instead, Farley did a media interview last night laying out Albanese's bribe. For everyone to see.
Albanese just gave Hanson political ammo & political capital.
Labor are in serious trouble.

I’m back in Aus now. I’ve returned refreshed and rejuvenated. I realise I was being far too gentle & kind to Labor before my trip away. I plan to go a lot harder now. Especially on their world’s highest 70% tax on investing. They should be very afraid!

So now they've run out of our money & they can’t wait to get their hands on your superannuation .. until Australian citizens wake up to this corruption .. it will continue..
— #JimChalmers is accelerating government plans to unlock #billions of dollars from Australia's $4.3trillion #superannuation system to underwrite Labor's policy priorities through an overhaul of rules that will remove
"unnecessary obstacles to investment".
Addressing an Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry dinner on Wednesday after inflation rose above market expectations to an annual 3.2%, the Treasurer said new investment was needed to boost productivity and growth, amid - rising geopolitical tensions and
"complex transitions" in energy
and technology.
As the government looks to limit record public spending and subsidies, Dr Chalmers confirmed he was pushing ahead with superannuation performance test changes to ensure the nation's retirement savings were available to invest in key areas including housing and clean energy.
#Chalmers, who told business leaders "our future growth depends on your strength, resilience and ingenuity", said Treasury officials had been instructed to progress consultation with stakeholders on an overhaul of the superannuation performance test to remove unnecessary obstacles to investment.

When Natalie Barr grilled the Energy Minister over why Australian taxpayers are footing a massive $150 million bill for a pre-COP climate summit in Fiji including $4.2 million on luxury 5-star resorts and business-class flights Bowen completely panicked.
He was so rattled by the basic questions that he repeatedly called Nat Barr “Mel” while trying to claim a multi-million dollar tropical junket is "value for money." To make matters worse, major world leaders haven’t even confirmed they are attending.
While Aussies struggle to pay their power bills, Labor is funding luxury getaways for bureaucrats.
Chalmers arrogant? Never!
Totally out of his depth? Oh no he’s a visionary treasurer !
Need to make cuts? Oh no says Chalmers it’s impossible!
How long are we happy to be fed this shit sandwich?
Former Treasury boss John Fraser has called for cuts across the public service & NDIS to return the budget to surplus. Fraser also argues that with the tax windfall the Albanese has enjoyed the budget should be in surplus (to the tune of $30 billion to $60 billion or 1%-2% of GDP). In your arrogance you will dismiss Fraser’s views @JEChalmers while the country bleeds because of your policies.

Today is Saturday the 31st of October 2026, and instead of addressing the issues that are crippling our nation, bills that have quadrupled since he got elected and families on the brink of financial ruin, Anthony Albanese’s rewarding himself with a holiday.
Today, he’s flying off to Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean, for some well earned “rest and relaxation” with beers and cocktails all on our dime.
While also claiming a daily $349 tax free “living away from home allowance” which he bills for and pockets without question.
This is on top of his annual salary of $622,102.00.
And what do we get in return?
17 interest rate hikes in a row, $3 a litre for petrol, grocery prices through the roof, inflation through the roof and immigration from 3rd world hellholes through the roof.
We are currently in the midst of the most incompetent leadership from a Prime Minister in Australian history.
And the scary thing is, there’s still 2 long more years to go until the next election.

ALBANESE ABSOLUTELY SHAMELESS
With a devastating fifth interest rate hike this year looming, Anthony Albanese is already scrambling to shift the blame, and his target is the Reserve Bank of Australia.
In a shocking move, Albanese is now labeling the RBA’s rate hikes a “blunt instrument.”
Let’s call this exactly what it is, a desperate, coordinated blame shift from a Prime Minister refusing to take accountability for his own economic failures.
Anthony, here’s a reality check - the buck stops with you.
While everyday Aussies drown in mortgage stress, your government is pumping out near record spending and running our productivity into the ground.
Yet, you want us to believe it’s the RBA's fault? You want us to believe it’s because of global conflicts?
Stop treating the public like fools.
High inflation and skyrocketing cost of living are driven by your policy choices.
You cannot spend like there is no tomorrow and then point fingers when the bill arrives.
Unbelievably, while the country burns economically, Albo is busy back patting himself for outlasting “post war leaders”and gloating about his continuous time steering the nation.
He even had the audacity to claim his “longevity” makes his global jet setting easier.
The narcissism is off the charts.
True leaders take ownership of the crisis on their watch.
They don’t hide behind independent boards or use wartime analogies to condition voters for prolonged pain while jet setting to international summits.
The gig is up, Prime Minister.
You are running the country into a recession. Own your failure, take responsibility, and stop shifting the blame.

Australians are seeing this Prime Minister for who he really is. A petty and vindictive man. And they don’t like it.
He talks about respect and a kinder parliament, then plays political games with the staff his opponents need to do their jobs.
The liar in the Lodge has got to go.
I cannot believe that our PM campaigned on having the most transparent and cleanest government in history.
What an absolute joke.
So far we have seen nothing but deflection, deception, straight out lies, cover-ups, fraud….
This man, our leader, will stop at nothing to hold his position of power.

#Costello has got a 💯% valid point .. Albanese & Labor has got Australia into deep .. deep 💩 He is dead right!
Increasing GST would just exacerbate the cost of living crisis!
They need to stop their excessive wasteful spending!
#TAX REFORM CLASH: The man who built the GST, former Treasurer Peter Costello, has delivered a brutal warning to the Albanese government over its fiscal management and rumored tax changes. Costello argues that raising the GST to cover government spending is a "bad idea" that will kill economic aspiration, claiming Australia's inflation issues are entirely "self-inflicted".
PM Anthony Albanese has hit back, brushing off the criticism and calling the former treasurer a partisan political player.
Do you think Peter Costello has a point about the state of the economy, or do you agree with the PM? Sound off in the comments!
