PTP: Protectionism in Betting Products & Markets Works for Awhile, But Not for Forever pullthepocket.blogspot.com/2…
My take on BC scratches even though none of you asked -
As a more watchful eye along with improvements in vet technology change the landscape, the simple fact that most horses have something up with them to some degree will result in a lot of scratches on big days.
Happy Breeders Cup Friday!
Market action for those interested:
Libertango & Moonrise are getting hammered down
Domain Expansion is now bet, down to 4-1
Sun Goddess 4-5, Domestic is bet some
Hughes a tepid 6-5
Huge steam on Haffner, ML Chalk How's Al is 4th choice.

So much great info from so many. Free and well worth your time. My Saturday full card selections/analysis will be my final contribution up later today. Kudos to @HorsePlayerNow and twitter-less Nate Harvey for leading the efforts!
When it comes to big racing events, we know how to get it done. And our Wager Guide speaks for itself! 🏇

If Tiffany and another horse make a loose lead in the Turf, Morris can look over and say 'slow down, I think we're alone now"
If Bay City Roller wins it'll be like Saturday Night.
The potential for great dad jokes for this year's Breeders' Cup is tremendous.

The second of two Sport of Kings podcasts being dropped this week (sponsored by @AmWager) is now up.
I am joined by special guest Craig Milkowski ( @CraigMilkowski ) developer of the speed and pace figs used in TimeformUS past performances, for a detailed discussion of the Breeders’ Cup races on Saturday.
The Friday BC races were covered on the previous podcast.
Craig and I once again discuss fading some favorites and finding some value.
Links to podcast and Timestamp are below. Note that the podcast is also available on many other platforms including Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.

Fascinating that a group of horses for an event are like a kindergarten class - a few always seem to get a bug.
Tough game.

Most people stay stuck at 1 when it comes to betting. Sometimes they latch on to early success from either positive variance or maybe they had edges on angles that no longer exist.
The humble pie tastes especially bitter when your whole persona has been rooted in arrogance and/or delusion. Delaying eating the pie doesn’t improve the taste… just keeps you stuck and losing.
Learning and adapting a far better path IMO.
ESPN going cray with Fernando Mendoza, but it's kind of wild to think that Klint Kubiak would've put him in when they play Seattle in two weeks. Poor kid could be scarred for his ever loving Sam Darnold ghost life against that defense.
This morning I am reading tweets about Patrick Mahomes looking "washed". Twitter is the greatest place on earth.
Hoping for no bombs on the streets in Paris, of course, but also no bombs in the stadium!
A. Rodgers U 21.5 completions for me.
Good luck on your bets today everyone!
