I'll tell you what, we might not be in the title race but we're doing a mighty fine job of making it look that way...

This is exactly why I think a points penalty is the only mechanism that would guarantee City do not play in the PL next season.
Important to add that the EFL and PL are now open to passing on penalties to each other, which means a multi-year points deduction still works.
Excl: execs from 2 top clubs tell me they’d be “staggered if there were 15 clubs ready to expel #mcfc Premier League, calling it “commercial suicide”. Expulsion one possible punishment that independent commission could consider, but if clubs voted against such a decision - what, if any, punishment would City get?
A lot of this case is damning but this video feels like City are saying "We'll win or we'll die trying", which you'd only do if your entire existence is at threat.
Relegation has to be in their future, for the Premier League to have any authority.
I think I probably enjoyed FM26 more than the average player and this looks like a really smart evolution that brings back some of the better elements from FM24.
Consider me onboard.

When I tell you we've had a GENERATIONAL window...
🚨 Chema Andrés is set to sign for Brighton after a rapid agreement was reached with VfB Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old midfielder is travelling for his medical ahead of a deal worth up to £20M.

Well that's not the biggest shock, if we can get to around 70-75m it's makes sense.
It does mean we absolutely need another midfielder in that mould though.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United closing in on deal to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion. #MUFC offer for 22yo Cameroon midfielder ~£60+5m; below #BHAFC valuation but amicable talks continue as all parties work to reach agreement @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7243081…
I'm a big fan of this move, giving him a year with us let's us see whether he can play at the Premier League level, especially with European fixtures to give him more opportunities and Ferguson leaving.
I would give Solly enough credit to think that he'll get a move to another Premier League club and avoid the backlash he'd get from both sets of fans
Crystal Palace to complete free transfer signing of Takehiro Tomiyasu and consider move for ex-Brighton winger Solly March. With @NizaarKinsella bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…
He's a tough player to lose, it puts a lot of pressure on Kostoulas, Tzimas and Ferguson.
I'd be looking at the likes of Tammy Abraham, Liam Delap or Joshua Zirkzee to fill that gap but I doubt the club will look at it like that.
If you forced me to guess, it'll be Kane, age shouldn't affect his game that much but if you forced me to guess the other options, I'd say.

But it's true we don't have a conveyor belt of 9s.

A 30 minute half time show is obviously nonsense for all sorts of conditioning and legislative reasons, but in plain terms it’s yet another instance of the football coming second.

Infantino's source on what was said in that conversation: Trust Me Bro
🚨⚠️ FIFA president Gianni Infatino clarifies his position on Folarin Balogun red card.
“I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFA’s governance.
“FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected.
“Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFA’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold.
“I read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree.
“What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.”
Why on earth is he moving from Palace, where he complained about not getting what he wanted, to Forest, where he will absolutely NOT get what he wants?
What a bizarre move all round.

France have looked like a side with too many chefs and not enough cooks.
Doue, Mbappe, Dembele and Olise all want to be ball dominant and there's nowhere near enough movement ahead of them to open space, especially against a properly organised Senegal team.
Turning van Hecke into Vuskovic AND £20m? We're definitely stuck in Tony Bloom's FM save.
🚨 EXCL: Brighton & Hove Albion make £30m offer to sign Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur. 19yo #THFC talent among Europe’s most coveted players but Croatia defender favours #BHAFC as best step for development + mutual trust with Hurzeler @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7347335…
