Music is inherently political.
To separate music from politics is to separate art from its soul. Lifeless, useless, and dead.
Like Metallica... for instance.

When Will We Learn?
By Harry Browne

The terrorist attacks against America comprise a horrible tragedy. But they shouldn’t be a surprise. It is well known that in war, the first casualty is truth – that during any war truth is forsaken for propaganda. But sanity was a prior casualty: it was the loss of sanity that led to war in the first place.
Our foreign policy has been insane for decades. It was only a matter of time until Americans would have to suffer personally for it. It is a terrible tragedy of life that the innocent so often have to suffer for the sins of the guilty.
When will we learn that we can’t allow our politicians to bully the world without someone bullying back eventually?
President Bush has authorized continued bombing of innocent people in Iraq. President Clinton bombed innocent people in the Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Serbia. President Bush, senior, invaded Iraq and Panama. President Reagan bombed innocent people in Libya and invaded Grenada. And on and on it goes.
Did we think the people who lost their families and friends and property in all that destruction would love America for what happened?
When will we learn that violence always begets violence?
Teaching lessons
Supposedly, Reagan bombed Libya to teach Muammar al-Gadhafi a lesson about terrorism. But shortly thereafter a PanAm plane was destroyed over Scotland, and our government is convinced it was Libyans who did it.
When will we learn that “teaching someone a lesson” never teaches anything but resentment – that it only inspires the recipient to greater acts of defiance.
How many times on Tuesday did we hear someone describe the terrorist attacks as “cowardly acts”? But as misguided and despicable as they were, they were anything but cowardly. The people who committed them knowingly gave their lives for whatever stupid beliefs they held.
But what about the American presidents who order bombings of innocent people – while the presidents remain completely insulated from any danger? What would you call their acts?
When will we learn that forsaking truth and reason in the heat of battle almost always assures that we will lose the battle?
Losing our last freedoms
And now, as sure as night follows day, we will be told we must give up more of our freedoms to avenge what never should have happened in the first place.
When will we learn that it makes no sense to give up our freedoms in the name of freedom?
What to do?
What should be done?
First of all, stop the hysteria. Stand back and ask how this could have happened. Ask how a prosperous country isolated by two oceans could have so embroiled itself in other people’s business that someone would want to do us harm. Even sitting in the middle of Europe, Switzerland isn’t beset by terrorist attacks, because the Swiss mind their own business.
Second, resolve that we won’t let our leaders use this occasion to commit their own terrorist acts upon more innocent people, foreign and domestic, that will inspire more terrorist attacks in the future.
Third, find a way, with enforceable constitutional limits, to prevent our leaders from ever again provoking this kind of anger against America.
Patriotism?
There are those who will say this article is unpatriotic and un-American – that this is not a time to question our country or our leaders.
When will we learn that without freedom and sanity, there is no reason to be patriotic?

This brand of leftist is so insidious imo because they are basically like "Look, I hate identity politics too.
All I'm asking for is a sensible moderate compromise: socialism."
Shoe0nHead: "Personally, until there's a Democratic Party that isn't prisoner to identity politics, or isn't completely cucked by race grievance, I'm not a Democrat.
And until there's a Republican Party that actually cares about workers, and isn't completely cucked to a certain foreign country, I'm not a Republican."

Photography was going to kill art. The internet was going to take everyone's jobs. AI is going to end humanity.
People have been wrong about the evolution of technology for 500 years.
AI is a tool, and it's going to make your life better and more efficient. Here's a clip from my recent episode with @thefinnmckenty! 🤘🏻

Afroman turns bad times into good times.
These cops are talking about their “tremendous pain” because he wrote a hilarious song about Lemon Pound Cake and smashing one of their wives.
The only thing more fragile than this case is the officers emotional durability.
Free @ogafroman! He's handling this trial like a boss. But he shouldn't be there in the first place.
Afroman Day 2: Deputy claims Afroman singing about sleeping with his wife has caused him “tremendous pain” as grounds for defamation.
Day 2 of the Afroman defamation case has begun, and Randolph L. Walters, Jr. testified that Afroman singing about sleeping with his wife caused him “tremendous pain.”
Walters Jr. also stated that being labeled a “thief” has hurt his reputation.
So far, all the deputies have claimed they do not believe everything they hear or see on the internet and that they have all been called names unrelated to Afroman’s songs.
So many good clips 🤣

Today, only 65 of us voted to release names of congressmen who have used the sexual harassment slush fund to pay off claims against them. 357 members voted to “refer it to committee” knowing that resolution ain’t ever making it out of committee. Roll call:

Why is a bottle of water $6 at a concert but $1.00 at Costco?
"Greed"? No. It’s because value is subjective.
There is no such thing as "inherent value." A glass of water is worth nothing to a drowning man, but everything to a man in a desert. We don't value things based on the labor put into them (sorry, Marx). We value them based on need.
But here is the trap: We rely on prices to communicate that value to the rest of the world. When the government prints money, they scramble those signals. Suddenly, you don't know if the price went up because water is scarce, or because the dollar is collapsing. Sound money matters because it keeps prices honest.

As an infantry veteran, I can tell you that @BrianMcGinnisNC is not in the minority when it comes to active duty military or retired veterans.
Our troops are sick of fighting regime change wars for Israel, and heading into battles that only hurt America.
Thousands of American children will grow up without their father because of the blood currently being shed overseas.
The best way to support veterans is to stop creating more of them.
Enough is enough.

This was so hard to watch.
You can hear his hand snapping and breaking as these incompetent cops tried to manhandle him out of the room as his hand was stuck.
@BrianMcGinnisNC is a real Patriot and an American hero. Thank you for standing up for our troops.

The leftist woke mob is trying to cancel my dude @FRONZ1LLA (again) for telling a hilarious joke on twitter about the newly released Beartooth music video.
First, if you're a dude in a band that decides to put on make up and wear female clothing, you should fully expect these kinds of jokes to occur. Do what you want, no one is stopping you, but grow some thicker skin and don't be sensitive when people joke about it.
Second, the leftist woke cancel mob are just virtue signaling. They don't really care about the joke, they just hate it when people dont tow the line and tip toe around their feelings.
Don't give them an inch.

The idea that Mises “shouldn’t” appeal to right wingers only works if you define right wing as nothing more than culture war theatrics.
Historically, the right in Europe and America included the classical liberal defense of private property, free exchange, and limits on centralized authority. Mises was writing in opposition to socialism. Of course that’s going to resonate more with people on the right than with modern progressives who are openly comfortable with redistribution of wealth.
If anything, the surprise would be if contemporary right wingers didn’t find something attractive in Mises. He offers a systematic critique of collectivism and egalitarian social engineering.
Today’s Democratic Party is structurally committed to both. While Republicans are inconsistent and hypocritical, but at least rhetorically they still speak the language of markets and constitutional limits.
So yes, Mises is going to land more naturally with people on the right than the left. In the current political sphere, libertarianism is literally a right wing ideology.
It’s interesting because if you read Mises there’s nothing in there you would think appeals to dumb rightoids. It’s like the Thomas Sowell quotes guy. Another case of libertarianism as a skin suit for conspiratorial haters. richardhanania.com/p/thought…

Denying the reality of blowback is completely reckless. There’s a mountain of modern precedent showing exactly how interventionist policy ricochets back home. Acting like cause and effect doesn't apply to foreign policy is both naïve and deliberately dishonest.
Turns out, you can't just murder people without severe consequences, @RichardHanania.
It's barely been 24 hrs, btw.
