For years he tracked global seismic patterns in public — maps, midpoints, deep-to-shallow progressions, week-ahead watch areas — while a lot of official voices said short-term forecasting wasn’t possible. Now more researchers talk about stress buildup, foreshock patterns, and better watch zones. Dutch was already doing the daily work.
He still posts regular forecasts, live tracking, and (lately) free public tools so people can watch the same data themselves.
