Day one.. the first thing they should have done was give notice to the ECHR., it takes 12 months or so yo leave . THEY DIDN'T Let's be clear on the history: The ECHR was drawn up after WW2 after Hitler marched through Europe. It was largely written BY Britain FOR Europe — Winston Churchill called for it, British lawyer Sir David Maxwell Fyfe drafted it, and Britain was the FIRST country to sign it in 1951. It was to stop fascism or communism( hand in glove) ever coming back. It only became directly enforceable in our own courts when Tony Blair put it into our law with the Human Rights Act in 1998. We don't have to keep following it like this, but Marxist would like it .
