My goal for my MHC4OC practice is to finish getting the credentials to be a EMDR consultant/trainer and a NYS CE provider so I can use the money I make training therapists to fund free somatic therapy for low income Black people
That seems to be the most sustainable path

Community work is important
AND part of that is working on the tendency to throw others under the bus systemically when you are scared/angry/triggered
If people don’t work on this, things will crumble & be compromised the moment politicians press on the right trigger

You guys think women who fuck men prisoners have low self esteem bc you’re bio-essentialists who look down on them for not partnering with powerful men (rich, educated, etc)
I think free women who have sex with prisoners are PREDATORS
Guards, nurses, therapists should NOT

Stop blaming 3rd party voters & non-voters.
Like I’ve been saying for over 4 years, if the systemic/root problems aren’t also addressed, placing sole responsibility on individual voters is gaslighting & emotional abuse
What are the Democrats doing to actively fight fascism?

Billionaires like Rihanna hate Trump but don’t hate how income inequality, lack of social services and oligarchy create the social conditions for a Trump presidency. If she was serious she’d support a wealth tax and ending citizens united not blaming voters for structural issues.

NEW: On Friday, dockworkers at 111 ports in 22 countries and regions on five continents will stop work in a coordinated strike against war, according to the most recent information from the organizing unions.
More than 25 dockworkers’ unions have now signed on, from Marseille to Mumbai, Hamburg to Montevideo, Melbourne to Oakland. Days ago the count stood at about 100 ports in 17 countries, and that figure doesn’t include the dozens of unions in other sectors that have pledged support. Their demand is simple: no weapons and no military cargo through their ports. Nearly everything the world ships passes through the docks, and without the workers who load and unload it, nothing moves.
In France, the main dockers’ union says the country’s ports will be 95% shut. Italy, India, Greece and Turkey face 24-hour strikes, and Morocco and Cyprus will see stoppages of up to two hours, with rallies planned in port cities around the world. In Greece, metalworkers, ship-repair workers and young people are joining the dockers, and in the US, ILWU Local 10 is striking in Oakland and San Francisco. The unions are working from the Istanbul Declaration, signed in May, with each one deciding for itself how to take part. They are also fighting for their own jobs, against cuts from automation and for contracts, raises, shorter hours and safety.
The unions point to escalating wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and the danger of a generalized war. They condemn Israel’s new crimes in Hebron, carried out with the backing of the US, NATO and the EU. Israel’s lockdown of the city is now in its sixth day, with more than 3,000 Palestinians displaced, according to the UN. Palestinian unions have endorsed Friday’s action.
In Italy, the fight has spilled beyond the docks. The union USB has called for a nationwide general strike. Last night, the Italian government ordered transport workers back on the job last night. USB said it would defy the order and accept the steep penalties.
The unions are calling on workers and young people everywhere to stand with the dockworkers, saying “Ports for peace and the peoples, not launching pads for war.”
I’m reporting from Calabria, Italy, and I will be in Genoa tomorrow ahead of the strike to report on the ground during the mobilzation.

Understanding the autonomic nervous system is a pro move
Learn how your body literally responds to being bored or understimulated
What kinds of things, activities, stimming, etc give you the release or sensation you need?
Write that down everywhere, tell your household
BREAKING: Neuroscientists confirm that an under-stimulated ADHD brain will unconsciously pick an argument or poke a sibling just to manufacture a hit of adrenaline—which is why your house erupts into chaos the exact second everyone is bored.
When the external environment goes quiet and flat, an ADHD nervous system scrambles to fill the gap:1/6

ADHD brains show higher boredom proneness but research does not confirm neuroscientists verified unconscious argument-picking or sibling-poking specifically for adrenaline. Post cites no source.

Daily N95 wear has been a life-changer for me. Not being sick for 6 years was like getting 14-21 days back per year from a single acute illness. Let’s say 84-126 extra healthy days. It’s incredible when you think about it. Masks on planes =no brainer. Daily public masking? Same.
University of Hong Kong researchers analyzed 40 airplane outbreaks of COVID-19 and flu.
Infection risk was highest near infected passengers.
Models found N95 masks nearly eliminated transmission, while doubling ventilation alone was insufficient.

You all need to understand that there is a well-funded movement to kill Wikipedia as an institution. The dream of an internet that provided universal access to knowledge was a mirage. It threatened too many powerful people, so now we have AI summaries and illiteracy.

A brief guide for int'l Black folks to identify a right-wing FBA/ADOS bot:
1) If they have an American flag in their bio, block them.
2) Search their tweets for keyword "tethers". If they have called people tethers, block them.
Those two steps will eliminate 90% of this shit.

I wish more people understood that disability is universal. You will experience disability at some point in your life, whether from accident, illness, old age, or even temporary disability. Please advocate for accessibility because it literally benefits everyone.

And after awhile medical AI will only be used for the non-rich. It’s gonna make too many errors and the rich will not tolerate that over time. Nonprofits, community health orgs, urgent cares, & any healthcare serving poorer populations will still use AI because fuck us

It also confirms for me what I already knew, ai is meant to create cheap slop for the masses while the rich still get to enjoy fine high art, luxury, and craftsmanship

This is why you apply pressure to and hold politicians accountable even if you support them. It’s your responsibility.

People are asking for specific detailed exile plans, saying I need a specific exile location (which sounds like prison lite)
With all the enablers in this world, you are assuming people hate predators & they won’t find a home
My responsibility is the specific community I’m in
Replying to @theworsttragedy
Exile is forcing them out of a particular community. They and their enablers could build an island for all I care. They just need to get out of the metaphorical “here”

Something I’ve noticed over the years is any space focusing on not “disposing” people is actually ultimately pushing victims/survivors out
You eventually end up with a space that’s mostly abusers & their enablers because everyone else is abandoned or leaves for their own safety

I hate the “people aren’t disposable” thing because someone who is repeatedly engaging in a pattern of behavior that harms others in order to maintain control already decided that other people were disposable & dehumanized enough to take whatever they want again and again
