Today was the final test for our β€œLittle Pig” structures. The β€œBig Bad Wolf” huffed and puffed but some structures held up! Such a fun project. After we reflected on the process using @Seesaw @mrsroundell @DeshayeCatholic @RCSD_No81 @RCSDmathscience #RCSDconnect #RCSDtech

Great time with @mrsroundell class today. Wrapped up our structures unit by building a house for the 4th little pig! It had to withstand the Big Bad Wolf test (a blow dryer). Then improvements. Tomorrow will be the final test....@DeshayeCatholic @RCSD_No81 @RCSDmathscience

We learned about the forces that act on flying objects: drag, lift, gravity and thrust. Today, I challenged the students to create something that can fly using only a specific amount of objects. They need to work as a group, plan, test, modify and retest! @RCSDmathscience

According to the European Research Council, the photo of a black hole "took one year, eight telescopes and a global network of scientists to produce". That doesn't sound too difficult. One year? Pff.
