Anybody entering a hospital in Canada with a condition qualifying as "grievous and irremediable" will, as a matter of policy, be offered MAID. For some disabled people, this means that every single interaction with the medical system may require them to state (sometimes multiple times) that they don't want hospital staff to kill them. This is one hell of an imperfection you are choosing to defend.

They post injuries by dose, not by person. By person, reported serious adverse effects were 1 for every 2778 people!
That serious adverse-event reports look roughly four times rarer when officials count by dose instead of by person is a communication choice.

Their answer?

Then Lutnick went even further:

If that account is accurate, this wasn’t just a failed negotiation.

According to Trump’s trade adviser, Washington offered Canada a “fair deal” but Canadian politics poisoned the negotiations.
Navarro says Carney learned something dangerous:
Every time he attacks Trump, Canadians reward him politically.
So instead of de-escalating and closing a deal, the incentive became to keep the fight alive.
And then comes the most insane part near the end:
Navarro essentially argues that Carney’s political success from anti-Trump rhetoric made compromise harder, not easier.
Think about what that means.
If true, Canadians didn’t just lose a trade deal because of economics.
We may have lost it because fighting Trump became politically more valuable than actually making a deal.
That would be absolutely devastating.

🚨 CANADA JUST BLEW UP A TRADE DEAL WITH THE UNITED STATES.
They had lower tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum, and autos sitting right in front of them.
Instead of taking the win for their workers, Mark Carney decided to throw a tantrum and walk away.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford then went full meltdown, calling Trump a “loser” and telling him to kiss his a**.
Classy.
The American side says they offered Canada the best access in the world on key products. Ottawa took it, then came back the next day and rejected it for political reasons.
Meanwhile Canada is rolling out the welcome mat for Chinese electric vehicles and investment.
So let’s get this straight:
They’ll fight Trump…
But make room for Beijing.
This isn’t strength.
It’s ego mixed with terrible judgment.
American workers and industries come first.
If Canada wants to pick a fight instead of a deal, that’s their choice.
