REECOL

A #REECOL workshop co-organized by the Public Power Corporation (PPC) and the Technical University of Crete (TUC) took place on 22 October 2026. During the event, project partners attending in person and online presented the results of their work. @DEI_GR @mred_tuc @tuc_chania

The #REECOL consortium meeting, hosted by PPC, took place. Partners reviewed project progress, discussed plans and priorities for the remaining project period, as well as the continued use and development of REECOL results beyond the project’s lifetime.

The #automated #spraying #system for #landreclamation developed within #REECOL was demonstrated to participants of kick-off meeting of #RESPIRA project (Risk evaluation, simulation and prevention of respiratory dust in post-mining areas) coordinated by @ItgKomag.

Solutions developed in the project were showcased at a joint workshop of the #REECOL and GI-MINE projects held at the GIG-PIB's “Barbara” Experimental Mine. The programme included project presentations and an outdoor demonstration of the spraying system developed within REECOL.

#REECOL results were showcased at international conference TUR 2026. A presentation "Contactless soil remediation technology for post-mining waste dumps: results of field testing and UAV-based monitoring conducted within the REECOL project" was given by @ItgKomag.

The #REECOL innovative solution: “Contactless technology for remediation of spoil heaps and post-mining areas” was presented by @ItgKomag at the “Innovator’s Day” event, which accompanied the 18th edition of the “Innovator of Silesia” competition.

At "Science for Society" Congress, #REECOL results were showcased. A presentation 'Contactless technology for the reclamation of post-mining spoil heaps as a method for restoring biodiversity in degraded areas' was delivered by @ItgKomag. The project's roll-up was also displayed.

We are pleased to announce that the #compost developed within #REECOL by Poltegor-Instytut was awarded a Gold Medal by the international jury of INTARG-EKO 2026. The compost is designed to support the #reclamation of #postmining areas through #soilrehabilitation.

On the 2nd day of the meeting, we continued our discussions on the #REECOL project's progress and future activities. The general conclusion is that we are on the right track!
