Kyiv said farewell to 25-year-old Ukrainian pilot Marat Mambetov, a major with the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade "Ghost of Kyiv," on October 4.
Marat Mambetov was killed on October 1 while carrying out a combat mission. His fighter jet was hit by a Russian missile.
Over the past two years, the Defender flew nearly 200 sorties in a MiG-29, destroying Russian aerial targets and striking occupiers’ positions.
