Good to hear PM clarify the age-old are state pensions from DWP a benefit.’ There are private pensions and there are state pensions. Money from the state - (not private pensions) are classed as a benefit. That’s because the state (DWP) can make changes, cuts or increase the benefit independent of how much you earned in your life.

It’s causing a nasty division. Look at the words on the tin Department for Work and Pensions.

Spinal cord injury services are national assets, but could changes to how they are commissioned put specialist care at risk? In a new blog for NR Times, R.F. Hunt, writing with the Spinal Injuries Association, highlights concerns that moving responsibility for specialist services to Integrated Care Boards could lead to fragmented care, weakened oversight and greater geographical inequalities. 🔗 Read the full blog: buff.ly/Yyl2evz #SpinalCordInjury #NeuroRehabilitation #Healthcare #NRtimes

Great to be in the @editorNRTimes magazine (p32) talking with @spinalinjuries about the tricky nature of negotiating a new power chair in a rented space. #SpinalCordInjury #PowerChair flipsnack.com/8EB596BBDC9/nr…

Over 3,000 words of the new book. Very early... but ideas are starting to come, with characters appearing.

Losing spinal units would be so dangerous. When I had broken L2 (in 40’s and needed to stay in hospital for 6 weeks) the spinal surgeon just looked at me - realised something was different and got a bed for me on the unit. What if the spinal unit wasn’t there?? A&E missed the fracture… #SCIC #SpinalUnits
