Apparently I’m invigilating on the nascent Greek corridor today… Not sure who Carl Gauss was; presumably a German scholar of the ancient world? 😂
Class Civ mocks AND powerlifting success 💥 🐟 Well done, JF!
Two RGS Lower Sixth students excelled at the West Midlands Powerlifting Championships.
Their achievements demonstrate the diverse range of talents and interests among RGS pupils, and we congratulate them on their impressive accomplishments.

On October 15 70BC, Publius Vergilius Maro, author of the Aeneid, was born. He was 7 years old during Cicero’s consulship, 21 years when Caesar crossed the Rubicon, 26 when the dictator was murdered, and 39 when Octavian defeated Antony and Cleopatra at Actium. He died aged 51.
Lovely, busy, overwhelmingly positive Open Day today, with plenty of very enthusiastic future students!
Thanks to everyone who visited, and to our excellent, knowledgeable student-guides who made the process so smooth!
Looking forward to welcoming people to the wonderful world of Classics and Latin, at @RGSWorcester Open Day today!

I asked one of my Y7 groups yesterday “What is a Civilisation?”
Genuine response from one young lady: “Frankly, anywhere with a Starbucks…” and I’m finding it hard to argue against that.
