There's something very wrong with society when objecting to genocide reaps more arrests than committing genocide.
Over 4,000 pro-Palestinian people arrested in total, and 94 year-old Margaret is taken again, despite decades of service to the country

RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

Jeffrey Loewenstein is a highly respected, trusted, honourable man of the Jewish faith. When you have people of his calibre demanding an end to the poisonous jillian segal you'd think the Australian PM might listen and heed the advice open.substack.com/pub/deepcu…

If the RBA increases the cash rate from 4.60% to 4.85%, it will be an 18-yr high. And no amount of antisemitism fearmongering, nor the high-visibility deployment of @nswpolice patrolling with high-powered rifles, will shield us from the real problem - the cost-of-living crisis.

Incredibly touched by the kindness and support. For Jewish anti-Zionists, the world can feel very lonely. Not today! ❤️🤍💚🖤

There’s something timeless about Emmylou Harris singing “Tulsa Queen” with The Hot Band in 1977. Nearly fifty years later, it still sounds as moving and honest as ever. ❤️🎶

For the first time in months, I see a glimmer of hope on the US-Iran front. The next 48 hours will likely be decisive. Expect some Israeli sabotage. They tried last weekend and they will try again...

Piers Morgan: What was it you were smirking about? Moser: I was actually laughing... A recently founded settler colony, Israel, which was founded in living memory... ranting at an Iranian, saying that his country is fake, Iran, one of the most ancient countries in the world.

I don’t think this brought the response that Penny was hoping for. Our most embarrassing foreign minister since Lord Downer.
Thank you to @SecRubio for bringing us together in Atlanta at a time of significant global challenges. We discussed how Australia and the United States can continue to strengthen our alliance, support stability in our region and build greater economic security and resilience.

In July 2024, Australian taxpayers funded Jillian Segal's trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she met up with her US "special envoy" collegue, Deborah Lipstadt. That's right, Deborah "do you want a beeper" Lipstadt and we paid for it. What have you done to us @AlboMP?
When Deborah Lipstadt held the position of US Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism under Joe Biden, Lipstadt replied "Do you want a beeper?" when it was suggested to her that Israel had become weaker since 7 October 2023. I'd expect nothing less from Jillian Segal. #SackSegal

👉🏿 I was born under a dictatorship and have spent a great deal of my adult life denouncing authoritarian regimes. I am deeply shocked to read the threatening statement issued by the Met Police UK. Threatening to arrest people for providing "logistical support" to peaceful demonstrators is the kind of threatening statement we are used to getting from the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship in Nicaragua. This is not what I expect from PM Andy Burnham’s Government. The UK is supposed to be a democracy, where freedom of speech is a pillar of society. Churchill’s words remind us that a true civilisation relies entirely on these liberties to maintain democratic accountability. Criminalising and proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is a shameful authoritarian overreach. @metpoliceuk @TheBJHRF #FreedomOfSpeech #FreedomOfPress #HumanRights @DefendOurJuries #StopGenocideInGaza #DeproscribePalestineAction

Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry. He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say. Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all. His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear. Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content. His entire formula fits on a napkin. Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant. That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped. "If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius." That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying. Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority. The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years. Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since. The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.
