Very proud of our students who participated in the study tour to #Chongqing city and then launched the global health declaration drawing on their experiences and understanding of the future challenges.
Every guest got a card that grows flowers. 🌱 At “Beyond Boundaries: Youth Shaping Global Health,” students from 12 countries and global health experts gathered at PKU to launch the Gen Z Health Declaration, a youth-drafted charter with five commitments, including health equity and digital innovation. Scan the QR code, read the declaration, then plant it. #PKUEvents #PKUYouth

China has dispatched over 26,000 healthcare professionals to serve across African nations since 1963, providing essential medical care to vast populations, Ren Minghui, a professor at Peking University, said at the #PujiangInnovationForum. The South-South health collaboration has evolved beyond direct clinical treatment to encompass institutional capacity building, disease control, personnel training, and public health infrastructure development over decades, he added. @RMinghui @PKU1898

Honoured to co-author the paper. The global health system should be reviewed and be reformed to better serve the changing needs of the people in the dynamic world.
The global health system was designed for a different world. A new @NatureMedicine commentary sets out what could replace it: countries as the primary agents, a leaner global architecture, solidarity rather than aid. Read: rdcu.be/xMXcvTareH2a News: ahpsr.who.int/newsroom/news/…
