Smiling faces. Waving hands. Thumbs up for Save Girls’ Sports everywhere we walked. This Central Coast town showed up with pure American spirit for the Pioneer Day parade — and the 250th anniversary theme made it even more meaningful.
I had the honor of walking with the Modern Suffragettes. One hundred and six years ago, women fought for and won the right to vote. They understood that progress for women means protecting our opportunities, not erasing them.
Today, women and girls are losing the right to fair sports, safe locker rooms, and spaces of their own. We cannot let that happen.
If you’re with me, post a ball from your favorite sport with an American flag and share this. Let’s keep this positive, powerful, Central Coast energy going.
