Sending them back after they helped us just tells the world the US can’t be trusted. A terrible move.

A Republican member on the House Armed Services Committee told Fox News Digital ahead of the midterm elections that the Trump administration has a key decision to make on the future of the U.S.-Iran war.
"Continuing to do just enough not to lose, but not enough to win, is not OK," Rep. Pat Harrigan, R-N.C., said.
He made the comments as Vice President JD Vance declared during a Fox News town hall that "I promise you that Donald Trump is not going to let Iran become a forever war."

Hegseth has one crucial backer: Trump, who said this week he's doing a "great job." Hegseth's stock rose with Trump when he saw him fighting during his contentious confirmation hearing, per an official.

About 15% of DHS's workforce experienced a data breech that exposed the names, work numbers and offices of over 40,000 civil servants -- many, but not all, that work in immigration enforcement + services and many who had been at the agency for decades.

SCOOP: Afghans in immigration detention across the country are being told there is a plan to deport them to Pakistan. Advocates fear those removed, which could include families of US allies, would be in life-threatening danger.

I won a @Milreporters Award for two stories I wrote about the Iranian drone that killed six Americans in Kuwait at the start of the U.S.-Iran war. @SeanParnellASW disputed the reporting. He said it was a "secured facility" because it had 6-foot walls, soldiers on the ground disagreed.

Secretary Hegseth has decided that politics is more important than our national security and innocent children’s lives. Withholding this report until after the election is not only disgraceful, it is cowardly.
We have waited months – release the report. Congress and the American people deserve full transparency and accountability around this attack, and I will not rest until we have it.
If Secretary Hegseth and this administration put as much effort into protecting civilians as they do into dodging accountability, those children might still be alive, and we wouldn’t be in this reckless war with Iran.
Top Pentagon officials have expressed their intention to hold off on releasing an internal report into the attack on a school in southern Iran until after the US midterm elections at the earliest, according to people familiar bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This news took my breath away this week.
Laura was a fierce advocate for the press corps and fought hard for us. But she also made me laugh every day, even on the very hardest days at the Capitol.

From Ukraine's leading newspaper. "This betrayal comes after one of the deadliest weeks for Ukrainian civilians. Last week, Russia killed more than 150 civilians in Ukraine. Just one of the strikes, on a bus stop in Kramatorsk, killed 33 people. In another Russian attack, in Pryluky, three one-year-old children were among the dead." kyivindependent.com/editoria…
