What happens when a woman says her abortion caused her pain? Theresa Burke of @RVHealing shares with @DrJrobackmorse how women who report emotional or psychological struggles after abortion can feel dismissed or told their experience is unrelated. Dr. Angela Lanfranchi describes a similar resistance in the medical world when research raises questions about abortion’s potential physical effects. Together, their stories ask whether women are being given the freedom to speak openly about negative experiences after abortion. youtube.com/watch?v=arbt4uab…

Are repeat abortions fueled by forbidden grief? Theresa Burke, founder of Rachel's Vineyard (@RVHealing), has spent decades helping women heal from abortion trauma. Her take: "There's not a shred of research that has ever shown that abortion fixes mental health. The opposite is true — people find they have someone to care for, and the child gives great meaning to their life." Watch @DrJrobackmorse's interview with Theresa Burke:youtu.be/Lrukvdu2Bpgsi=igKb6…

We’re constantly told that abortion is ‘just healthcare’—a routine medical procedure that should be destigmatised, normalised, even celebrated. Yet Ireland funds dedicated post-abortion counselling, and new figures show that hundreds of women access those services every year. Why? We don’t routinely provide procedure-specific counselling after appendectomies, knee replacements, or cataract surgery. If abortion is simply another healthcare intervention, why is there a recognised need for specialist post-abortion counselling? Perhaps because it isn’t a simple medical procedure. Perhaps because, whatever slogans tell us, ending the life of one’s unborn child can carry profound emotional and moral weight for many women. If you have had an abortion and are experiencing painful emotions, confusion, or regret, there are people ready to support you. We wholeheartedly recommend the services offered by @RVHealing. gript.ie/over-900-women-soug…

I had an abortion. I suffered for 12 years of shame and guilt before I had a miraculous healing. I have held many sobbing women and men in my arms over the years because they too aborted their babies. Many of them didn’t regret for years. It can take 30/40 years to come to fully understand what you did. You and your wife took your own baby’s life. When you come to regret the decision to check out @RVHealing. It’s a beautiful healing weekend. It could save your marriage.
