The Texas Senate Committee on Education will hear testimony today on the implementation of SB 13, the bill passed last session to address the ongoing problem of age-inappropriate content in our public school libraries. The bill strengthened Texas library standards, including prohibitions on indecent and profane content. For many of us, this advocacy started five years ago this month, after Texas moms in Keller ISD discovered Gender Queer in their kids’ school library. This graphic novel contains pornographic cartoon drawings, sexually explicit content, pedophilic references, and even directs readers to K i n k. com, among other things. In fact, if I posted excerpts from the book here, X would flag my post as adult content because X knows porn when it sees it. Five years later, Gender Queer is still available in some Texas public schools. I recently found it in El Paso ISD, Houston ISD, and Canutillo ISD. I’m sure it is in many more. And, of course, this is just one title. There are even worse books on the shelves. In a recent audit using a sample of school districts from the Senate districts represented by members of the Senate Education Committee, every district I surveyed had sexually explicit, indecent, and/or profane materials available in its high school libraries. Five years later, we have certainly made incremental gains through the passage of HB 900 and SB 13. We should celebrate the progress. But based on my sample, I would argue that many, if not most, Texas public schools still have content available to students that violates the standards the Legislature has worked repeatedly to establish. So today, I hope the Senate Committee on Education asks the most important question: Why? Why, after five years of parents sounding the alarm, two major pieces of legislation, strengthened library standards, and explicit prohibitions on indecent and profane content, are these materials still sitting on the shelves of Texas public school libraries? Why are Texas children still being exposed to pornographic content in their public schools? Today, I expect the lack of consistent implementation and enforcement to be a central concern raised by parents and advocates who have fought for these laws and now expect Texas public schools to follow them. I also expect these same parents and advocates are growing weary of a Legislature that has struggled to solve this problem. I hope they leave today encouraged by an engaged committee with listening ears and a willingness to add teeth to the law next session. I have no doubt this fine committee is growing weary of the noncompliance, too. #txlege #ProtectTexasKids @LtGovTX @DonnaCampbellTX @AngelaPaxtonTX @TeamBettencourt @ElectAHinojosa @PhilKingTX @HagenbuchTX @TanParkerTX @TrueTexasTea @cdfusa @Shalayla4USA @GAWTP @TexasGOP

Hmmm this sounds like TEA @TheLufkinLawyer is busting too many pedo’s!!! Parents and taxpayers aren’t interested in reinstating the pedo protection plan and frankly NO school district should be allowed to have their own I.S.D. police dept. @realmitchlittle
Bill Avera of the Texas School District Police Chiefs Association just testified in front of the Texas Senate Committee on Education on the implementation of SB 571 and he advocated for once again allowing ISD police departments to investigate educator misconduct—even while acknowledging that, in the past, some school districts and ISD police departments failed to properly investigate these cases and instead swept them under the rug. Avera argued that requiring outside law enforcement to investigate educator misconduct is becoming a burden on local law enforcement agencies and is taking officers away from violent-crime investigations. But SB 571’s requirement that allegations of educator misconduct be reported to outside law enforcement was an important step toward addressing the inherent conflicts of interest that can arise when school districts investigate their own employees. Those conflicts contributed to situations in which misconduct was overlooked or inadequately addressed, allowing abuse to continue and leaving countless Texas schoolchildren vulnerable. We should not go backward. School district police should not be responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct involving the very employees and institutions they serve. The answer to the burden on outside law enforcement should be to provide those agencies with the resources necessary to conduct these investigations—not to return investigative authority to the school districts. Ultimately, we should be asking a broader question: Why do school districts need their own police departments at all? #ProtectTexasKids #txlege @TrueTexasTea @TexasEd911 @DonnaCampbellTX @TeamBettencourt @TexasGOP @drbone4tx

A family sold 87 acres in 1999 to the state for $110, so it would be used as a park. The state transferred it to the City of Taylor for $10, which then gave to the Taylor Economic Development Foundation ... which sold it in 2025 for $10 million to a data center developer. Never. We could all see it coming…all of these spy programs unleashed in the name of safety will eventually be turned on us. We have no constitutional rights if we don’t defend them. Where are the elected officials standing up to protect Americans? @RepKeithSelf has the PRIVACY Act, congress should pass it, it should bipartisan, & effortless!!! This is lazy policing without the benefit of human situational awareness & decision making.
Flock being used as a revenue generation tool. e.g. Ticketing overweight trucks on restricted roads. This is a warning sent to a truck driver from a Flock camera. They are starting to use these cameras for tickets/revenue against us.

Exactly! How is foreign beef going to help Americans long term? We need to be bolstering our domestic cattle ranchers and enhance their ability to produce and keep their land & herds. Slash regulations, lower taxes - remember POTUS promised to make this the Golden Age for America, not other countries!
What a slap in the face to American cattlemen & consumers. Worse than socialism! Dumping foreign beef in U.S. markets can temporarily lower prices but it won’t incentivize American farmers to raise more beef. Bring back Country Of Origin Labels & pass my PRIME Act.

🚨HENDERSON TAXPAYERS YOU NEED TO SEE THIS🚨Any entity raising taxes especially proposing a VATRE should watch!!!! Rusk Co + City of Henderson are looking at higher taxes. BUT Henderson ISD may be the one that should concern you the most. Why? Because the school board isn’t simply asking to raise the tax rate within the normal limits. They’re asking YOU to vote on whether they can take even MORE. And there’s a reason this has to go to the ballot. If you own property, pay rent, are trying to buy your first home, or plan to retire here someday, this affects you. And tomorrow night is an opportunity to get answers. 👀 Watch this video before you decide how you feel about the Henderson ISD VATRE. Then ask yourself one simple question: Have they done everything possible to cut spending before asking taxpayers for more? 📍 Henderson ISD Board Meeting 🗓️ Tomorrow — Tuesday, August 11 ⏰ 5:30 PM Don’t just complain about taxes after the bill arrives. Get informed BEFORE you vote. 👇 WATCH THE VIDEO. Then SHOW UP.

In TX a mandatory fee buried in EVERY auto insurance policy is helping fund the very system law enforcement is using to expand Flock license plate reader cameras across Texas!!!! Did you ever actually consent to being part of a statewide vehicle-tracking system… or did it get quietly bundled into a fee you never even noticed on your insurance policy? Let’s go down the rabbit hole. #txlege

The Rusk County Republican Party officially adopted a resolution supporting Fourth Amendment privacy rights and common-sense surveillance guardrails to protect the constitutional rights of Texans. Our resolution calls on the Texas Legislature and local governments to establish meaningful protections for Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) systems, including Flock cameras, while ensuring law enforcement can continue to pursue legitimate criminal investigations. Among the proposals are requiring public hearings before new camera installations, deleting data from innocent motorists that does not match a verified law enforcement "hot list," requiring warrants to access retained records, and increasing public transparency through regular reporting. Why does this matter? 📍 Rusk County has an estimated population of just 54,854 people, yet there are currently: • 22 Flock cameras throughout Rusk County • 10 additional cameras in the City of Henderson • 1 camera in Mt. Enterprise For comparison: • Smith County: 3 • Tyler: 14 • Gregg County: 0 • Longview: 0 • Kilgore: 0 Rusk County is approximately the same geographic size as Smith County, yet Smith County has more than 252,000 residents while Rusk County has just 54,854. Rusk County has 22 Flock cameras compared to Smith County's 3. Constitutional rights should not disappear because technology has advanced. Public safety and individual liberty are not mutually exclusive. Texans deserve both. The resolution also urges local governments and law enforcement agencies to begin implementing these privacy protections now, rather than waiting for the Legislature to act. 📄 We encourage everyone to read the resolution, learn more about this issue, and engage with your elected officials. Freedom requires vigilance. The Fourth Amendment still matters. #txlege
Threats to our privacy and freedom to travel are deafening! As consumers we must DEMAND this digital spy network get taken out of our cars (better yet never gets put into them)!!! Just like during COVID, the corporate masters will do it because govt ultimately can’t (thanks to our Constitution). Our power is in our consumer ‘capital.’ Show there is no demand for it, and they’ll lose billions like they did on their EVs. Then we must be vigilant to defend our travel liberty every second congress is in session (& ensure we have constitutionalist presidents) to ensure they don’t FORCE us out of our old (non spy) cars through climate or other mandates! Thank you, @brianeharrison for leading the charge on this critical issue!! ❤️🤍💙 I also want to thank @DavidLowe4Texas @SelfForCongress and @chiproytx for standing with him. This is exactly the kind of leadership Texans expect. Too many Republicans have remained silent on this issue, and Texans deserve better. If this is truly a priority, then every Republican who believes in securing our state should be willing to join this effort. I hope more legislators unite behind this effort, and take meaningful action to protect Texas. @txleg
🚨BREAKING: after I exposed Texas is facilitating birth tourism… @GregAbbott_TX is now directing agencies to investigate it. Good… the pressure is working!… BUT… this is not enough!! We need a special session to MAKE BIRTH TOURISM A FELONY!… And Texas must STOP GIVING BIRTH CERTIFICATES TO NON-CITIZENS!!

Thank you @brianeharrison for leading the charge to end birth tourism in Texas! Huge thanks to @DavidLowe4Texas, @chiproytx, and @SelfForCongress for stepping up and signing on to this common-sense reform. This is low-hanging fruit, and every Republican should be locking arms to get it across the finish line. It’s time to put Texans first. #txlege
🚨 OMG. Stunning images reveal that houses across Texas are BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP FARMS: Rows and rows of bassinets have been exposed by AG Ken Paxton, used to make endless birthright citizens from non-citizens These are appearing in buildings that just look like normal family homes! "Rows of bassinets of Chinese women giving birth to new US citizens — sometimes going BACK to the CCP!" How could the Supreme Court look at this and think, "YES, THAT'S WHAT OUR FOUNDERS WANTED?!" Reverse it now. Time for states to take action and make new laws! @kayleighmcenany @KenPaxtonTX

The "red-green alliance" is alive and well in Texas. We can't let them gain any ground in November. For those who don't know what the "red-green alliance" is, it's cooperation between the progressive left ("red") and Islamist political movements ("green") on far left, anti-American political objectives. Progressive community organizers refer to it as coalition building. Bernie Sanders' Our Revolution has endorsed candidates for statewide office in Texas, including: • Agriculture Commissioner: Clayton Tucker • U.S. Senate: James Talarico • Lieutenant Governor: Vikki Goodwin • Comptroller: Sarah Eckhardt Our Revolution was founded by Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders to advance a progressive political agenda across the country. See their endorsed candidates yourself: ourrevolution.com/our-champi… Most Texans already know where candidates like James Talarico and Sarah Eckhardt stand politically. Clayton Tucker, however, has recently built his campaign around AI data centers—even though the Texas Agriculture Commissioner has no regulatory authority over them. Many have no idea what a far left radical Tucker is. The Agriculture Commissioner has significant responsibilities affecting Texas agriculture, rural communities, and other areas of state government. The role has no regulatory authority over AI data centers, but what the role does oversee would be greatly impacted by the policy positions of a far-left progressive/ Democratic socialist. Tucker is a green-new deal proponent who has a history of supporting solar and wind farms on Texas' agricultural land. Tucker served in a leadership role with Our Revolution Texas for years and founded the Texas Progressive Caucus. He is part of the radical wing of the Texas Democratic Party. Those affiliations and policy agendas provide a broader picture of his political views than his recent campaign messaging on AI data centers. Texans should know exactly who is asking for their vote. #txlege #TexasAg #America250 @natesheetsforTX @ClaytonTuckerTX
🚨 AUGUST 4 COULD BE ANOTHER MASSIVE NAIL IN MICHIGAN'S COFFIN.... Jihadi Rashida Tlaib is actively stumping for Muslim Brotherhood radical Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan’s U.S. Senate primary on August 4. (Notice the trans flag flying in the background at these events…They will be the first to be eliminated when Islam takes over. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.) El-Sayed - the “people-powered” pro-Sharia progressive backed by Our Revolution, Bernie Sanders, AOC, and DSA allies - has a long record of radical ties that voters need to see: 🔺 In 2012, as a dual U.S.-Egyptian citizen, he signed a statement supporting Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi’s power grab in Egypt: “We, leaders of the Egyptian community, support the revolutionary decisions taken by the president, and we demand a purging of the media and the police as soon as possible… We will stand shoulder to shoulder in support of the elected president.” (Morsi was the Brotherhood’s man; the group’s motto includes “Jihad is our way.” DID YOU HEAR THAT AMERICA) 🔺 Served as vice president of the University of Michigan’s Muslim Students Association - founded by Muslim Brotherhood members specifically to spread Islam and impose Sharia in North America. 🔺 Spoke at terrorist group CAIR’s national banquet and fundraiser. His father-in-law sat on Michigan CAIR’s board. CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas-financing trial and has been designated a terrorist organization by Texas and Forida. 🔺 Close protégé of Linda Sarsour - the Muslim Marxist activist who endorsed him heavily in 2018 and co-hosted events with him. 🔺 Campaigned with far-left streamer Hasan Piker at University of Michigan and Michigan State rallies in April 2026. When asked to disavow Piker’s past comments (including “America deserved 9/11,” calling the IDF a “Nazi army,” and Orthodox Jews “inbred”). 🔺 Deleted dozens of tweets supporting “defund the police,” including: “The police have become standing armies we deploy against our own people” He later called it a “ movement.” • He’s taken donations from pro-Hamas-linked figures and appeared with activists who cheered Oct. 7 attacks. This is the latest radical candidate, Tlaib, and the Squad wing are pushing as the future of the Democratic Party.

Is this the 'new' Texas now? Street defecation in a family neighborhood in what used to be a solid conservative area of Williamson County.
