βΉοΈFrom April 6, parents of premature and sick babies will finally have the right to neonatal care leave and pay, giving them more time to be where theyβre needed most.
πNeonatal healthcare professionals see firsthand how vital this time is. They support parents through some of the hardest days of their livesβnow, this new entitlement will help ease the financial and emotional pressure they face.
Please help Bliss ensure every family knows what theyβre entitled to.

On Parent Mental Health Day 2025, we wanted to signpost parents to the Canopie app canopie.app.link/yX1F7057XMb which has a number of resources to support neonatal parental wellbeing whilst on the unit and beyond. Content developed alongside neonatal families.
Today marks Parent Mental Health Day 2025 and we want to recognise how important it is to care for your own mental health as a parent.
We know it is not always easy when your baby is in hospital. Itβs ok if things feel overwhelming right now. Take it one day at a time.
You might like to try some coping strategies to help you feel more in control of this difficult time. Effective coping strategies might include:
π Journaling
π¦ Focusing on kangaroo care with your baby (skin-to-skin)
π©πΌβπ€βπ§πΏ Sharing how youβre feeling with family, a trusted friend, or the staff caring for your little one
At Bliss, we understand that being a parent to a sick or premature baby can be overwhelming and itβs ok not to be ok. Weβre here for you this #ParentMentalHealthDay.
What are you doing to support your mental health today? Let us know in the comments below. ππΎ
