“Probably, when you are a coach, you still are a coach for the rest of your life. But then, as always, whether you are 20 years old or 67, it depends on opportunity. You need somebody to give you an opportunity. And let’s see if this opportunity comes, because it has to be the right opportunity.”
Could the right opportunity come soon for Ettore Messina? 👀🤔

“Ibon Navarro's basketball? I don’t think basketball belongs to coaches. It belongs to players! We’re going to play as good or as bad as they want!
We’ll get as far as they want. It’s not about my ideas, but about the basketball they’re able to play because of their talent, athleticism, energy…”

Joe Mazzulla on reports of the Celtics vibes being high at training camp
"Every team you lead is the most together team right now. Because we haven't traveled. No one's gotten benched. No one's been on a losing streak. No one's gotten blamed in the media. No one's had to go stand in the corner for 10 minutes and not get the ball. So, you learn those things as the season goes on, and you just learn how to work through those things together. And you can't simulate those. It just comes with time. And so, right now I would say all 30 teams feel great about themselves, and we got to wait till adversity hits. And adversity is even a strong word. There's nothing really adverse about playing in the NBA. But we got to wait until stuff doesn't go your way, and then you got to figure out who we are and how we're going to be at our best."

A great course by @RafiRubiano on coach Zeljko Obradovic offense. A must study for coaches to improve details in their sets and get ideas for new ones.

The public and critical rejection of Ridley Scott’s new film is a SCANDAL. I get the feeling the general public can no longer concentrate on a film and needs a frantic pace to stay awake. The Dog Stars is a film with an intentionally slow rhythm to reinforce immersion in its universe, filled with unforgettable visuals that give it a distinctive identity, something incredibly rare in Hollywood today.
There is a poetry that emanates from this film that I have rarely seen in cinema, both through its natural enchanting visuals and the emotions of its characters, never expressed through dialogue yet always perceptible. It is a subtle film, in both substance and form, and that is precisely why it is rejected by critics and the general public, whose understanding of what makes a work of art seems to be disappearing more and more. Today for people, the only thing that matters when watching a film is whether they were entertained. Well NO ladies and gentlemen, what matters most is how long the film stays with you. And The Dog Stars is a film that will stay with me for a long time, because it is unlike any other, and that is why it is one of Ridley Scott’s best films.

Josh Brolin praises director Ridley Scott’s work on ‘THE DOG STARS’.
“Great directors either lose it or they stay fresh like him at 88 years old. I don’t know how he’s doing what he’s doing or is as sharp as he is, and he challenges himself in playing with different genres.”
