Calling yourself the best boxer ever out of New York isn’t the flex you think it is—especially when you’re not even the best to come out of Brooklyn. Tyson, Breland, Bowe, Malignaggi, Zab… this list is off the top of my head. Fighting a walking corpse with absolutely no shame, is not a flex. Being cool with Lubin after he posted a video stopping you in sparring, is not a flex. You couldn’t carry Tito Trinidad’s jock strap, let alone match his legacy. Keith Connolly is the real MVP of your career. And I said what I said.

Fifty-seven years ago (1969 for those with math problems), I promoted my first fight card. SRO crowd. We had to turn people away and that was the last time I ever did that. If I had a shoe horn, I always found space for more. We had 1,606 in a building which had 1,346 seats.

Fury–AJ in New York was a ridiculous idea. That fight always belonged in the UK. Eddie Hearn fought for UK, got the venue and got the curfew lifted for Netflix. Dana White’s been in boxing for ten minutes and somehow supposed to be the lead promoter. Boxing is so remedial. 🙄

If I sign up for a big budget movie and make it clear I don’t want to work with a specific producer, like say a Harvey Weinstein, you can’t after the fact just try and coerce me into working with him. That’s basically the situation Anthony Joshua is in. He’s ready to make the movie on the terms he signed up for.
