Beehiiv makes more sense when you stop thinking of it as just a newsletter tool.
For freelancers, consultants, small businesses and entrepreneurs, it can handle publishing, audience growth and monetization in one place.
Here is what I actually use and how it works 👇
I think we should be more careful about forwarding medical advice from social media. A person describing what worked for them does not mean the same treatment will be suitable or safe for everyone else.
A lot of people are worried about AI replacing jobs. I am more interested in how existing jobs will change. Knowing how to use these tools properly may become important even for people who have nothing to do with technology.
Separating things we can control from things we cannot. I think about this whenever someone spends hours worrying about another person's reaction. You can explain your point clearly, but you cannot decide how the other person will take it.
Family WhatsApp groups can be quite interesting. Someone shares an old photograph, 3 people start discussing where it was taken, and within minutes the conversation moves to relatives nobody has met in 15 years. These conversations are sometimes better than planned family calls.
There is a difference between remembering something and remembering it accurately. Two people can talk about the same childhood incident and give completely different versions. Both may genuinely believe their version is correct.
I wish news channels would spend more time explaining what actually happened instead of inviting five people to argue about it. By the end of some discussions, you know everyone is angry but still do not understand the issue.
Google announced on October 28 that ads in Search AI Mode are expanding to India and nine other countries. I understand that Google needs advertising revenue, but I hope the sponsored results remain clearly separated from the actual answers people are looking for.
We spend a lot of time thinking about what might happen in the future. Most of those situations never happen exactly the way we imagined. Yet the worry can feel completely real while we are thinking about it.
Microsoft Teams is adding separate sections for muted chats and meeting chats, replacing the old Meeting chats filter. I understand that they want to improve the interface, but it gets annoying when you have to keep finding things that were perfectly easy to access before.
I have noticed that when people are already upset, even a normal question could sound like criticism to them. The same question on another day might not bother them at all. Our mood affects how we understand other people.
There is something interesting about meeting an old friend after many years. You start talking about things that happened twenty years ago, and suddenly you remember details you had completely forgotten.
The price of everyday things matters more to most families than what the stock market is doing. You can read positive economic news all day, but if groceries, rent, and school fees keep increasing, people will still feel the pressure.
I wonder how many decisions we make because we genuinely want something and how many we make because we see other people doing it.
It is not always easy to separate personal choice from social influence.
AI has made writing emails, creating documents, and finding information much easier. But I am also noticing that people are becoming too comfortable accepting whatever AI generates without checking whether it is actually correct.
One thing I find strange about human behavior is how quickly we get used to good things. Something that made us extremely happy a year ago can become so normal that we barely notice it anymore.
I have started checking the date of an article before reading it. So much old information gets shared on social media as if something happened yesterday. People react to the headline without even checking when the story was originally published.
People change over time. Their goals, priorities, habits, and opinions can all change. Expecting someone to remain exactly the same for very long is not realistic.
A person can be very successful and still be difficult to work with or unpleasant to be around. Success can tell you what someone achieved, but not necessarily what kind of person they are.
Sometimes you know a decision is right and still feel bad about making it. A decision can be necessary and painful at the same time.
