Reminder why you should always be very cautious with using sites that require any form of session hijacking to operate, be it C5, Youpin, Buff or CSFloat.
π¨ URGENT WARNING FOR CS2 TRADERS
Multiple users in the Chinese CS2 community are reporting that their Steam passwords were changed and their inventories stolen.
While Steamβs trade reversal system may help recover some items, accounts with heavy trading activity have reportedly suffered significant losses.
The incidents are suspected to be linked to Steam Guard authenticators connected to C5GAMEβs automatic delivery system, though the exact cause hasnβt been confirmed yet.
If youβve linked your Steam authenticator to C5GAME for automatic delivery, I strongly recommend disabling that integration and securing your Steam account immediately.
Stay safe. Please spread the word.
For how many years in advance did you pay for your servers? π @zukwiz
The market index is back at the lows from the recent selloff, but volume has dried up even further.
My view hasnβt changed: the headline index is still distorted, and on a longer timeframe weβre already sitting at extremely depressed levels. A lot of individual items are reaching prices where even another panic selloff struggles to push them much lower.
With prices down this much, rental yields are also looking very attractive again.
Valve-wise, Oct. 23 marks the one-year anniversary, so an update is definitely possible next week. But I still donβt expect a new case in the near term.
Give the market time.
Bottoms are built when everyone has given up.
Given China's ongoing sell-off and their overall loss of confidence, I would like to ask why we still use Buff/UU as a price reference rather than Float.
When 'panic selling' occurs on Buff/UU, why do we adjust prices on Float too?
I am aware that the markets aren't strictly separated, and Chinese traders use Float too, for example. However, given the past 6-7 months, I genuinely want to question this common practice.
Some of my recent questionable pickups.
Funnily enough, the more questionable the skins I buy are, the more enjoyable I find trading π€

Current datamining suggests that your Chicken pet will leave you after 140 days (20 weeks) no matter what you do.
Thoughts?
Β»Chicken Feed also comes from the Weekly Care Package and also takes both rewards. The game warns you when food is running low. If the feed runs out, the pet leaves for good. Valve's message for that: "Your pet has accepted a position elsewhere. The offer included meals."Β« [Credits: @skinsnipercom]
If this becomes true, Valve absolutely cooked here.
You are forced to play and collect your weekly drop in order to keep your pet alive, creating a recurring login incentive with a consumable item (if the feed is untradeable), while simultaneously reducing the supply of all other possible drops in rotation.
Additionally, Chicken will eventually die, resulting in a constant rotation of pets instead of keeping the same pet forever. This will also drive demand in case there will ever be a chicken skin / wearable in a case/terminal/armory.
While pets may seem questionable for a game like CS, the underlying mechanics are genius.
1v1 market manipulation π«©
Yesterday, Windking and 777 had a heated livestream clash with Ouhuang that lasted nearly two hours.
They eventually agreed to settle the rivalry through the performance of their respective projects.
Ouhuangβs confirmed picks:
FN AK-47 | Neon Rider
FN AK-47 | Asiimov
FN M4A1-S | Control Panel
Windkingβs side has selected AK-47 | Leet Museo, while the remaining picks from him and 777 are still TBA.
When the market performs poorly, tensions boiling over is hardly surprising. If anything, this confrontation may have helped release some of the frustration that had been building up.
As for the projects themselves, donβt follow blindlyβcompare the current prices and decide for yourself whether the risk is worth taking.
Luckily Norway has the best internet coverage imaginable, so I can still buy all your skins for bank, paypal or crypto π«‘
