Sports Fans, I need your help!
Newlyweds Gavin Cornia & wife Katie (big BYU fans) were in a head on collision near Lehi. Gavin passed away & Katie has been fighting for her life.
She needs our help.
My heart breaks for her.
Sports nation, do your thing!

A&M is a good team, definitely CFP worthy, but their schedule is hilarious. Played a bunch of bad teams, teams who fired their coach, and/or backup quarterbacks all season. Unreal.

We're good for a 'TTU fans mistakenly blamed for X' story every decade or so: RC Slocum's Kool-Aid in '89, Mike McKinney getting decked by an A&M fan in '01, Bill Byrne claiming shoe polish was spray paint in '11 and now Leipold going ballistic over his own staffer's pocketknife.

Please read and share my op-ed published this morning in @USATODAY. We need a thoughtful and comprehensive Congressional solution to address the overwhelming economic challenges and fundamental brokenness of the NCAA. These two issues seriously and immediately threaten women’s sports, Olympic sports, and all college athletic departments - both big and small. The SCORE Act, as currently drafted, doesn’t do enough, and will only serve to guarantee that programs are cut, opportunities are lost, and communities are irreparably damaged.

College Sports provide unique opportunity for Americans to set aside partisanship and come together around a system that does so much for so many communities and provides so much benefit for 500,000 student athletes each year. Everybody loves this uniquely American institution and wants to see it thrive.
We were impressed and encouraged by the report released by @SenatorCantwell last night. She is a well-informed voice on this topic and a will be a great partner in finding the right solutions to the serious threats faced by women’s sports, Olympic sports, and by all athletic departments, both small and large.
It may not be well known, but Sen. Cantwell has a professional background in sports media, so she has deep understanding and relevant experience in this realm, and is one of the few on the Hill who has accurately identified the economic issues in college sports as being the underlying cause of the symptoms we see more prominently highlighted in the media (transfer portal, NIL, etc).
We encourage everyone to study her report, and encourage @tedcruz, @senatorcantwell, and their colleagues in the Senate to work together in finding a solution that will fully and comprehensively Save College Sports and preserve the incredible benefit that it provides to this great country.

The @SEC ran this TV ad over the weekend, thar provides a link to a website. The ad and the website make many false claims, the most egregious being that the SCORE Act, in its current form, is supported by every D1 conference in America. This is NOT true. In fact, the large majority of conferences and their members (including many members of the Power 4) believe that the SCORE Act needs to be amended and modified so that women’s sports, Olympic sports, smaller schools, and the Student Athletes can be protected and represented in the final solution.
Yes, the SCORE Act is a good start, and we are all grateful that DC is finally paying attention to the existential issues facing college sports, but we ALL need to come together (Big Schools, Small Schools, Women’s Sports, Olympic Sports AND the Student Athletes),to come up with a compromised and comprehensive solution that works for the betterment of the entire system - not just major college football. 500,000 Student Athletes and hundreds of communities are depending on us! Deception and dishonesty, as displayed through this @SEC ad, only drive a wedge between what we were hopeful was becoming a constructive and productive conversation. Let’s get this discussion back on track and work together to find the right solutions that will preserve the Great American Institution of College Athletics!!
