Premiering this Halloween 10/31 on YouTube!! 🔗⬇️
This video did exceptionally well over on Youtube over the weekend, which was a really nice surprise to see (personally I mostly think I did a really good job with the thumbnail and name which caught peoples eyes)
It also did decent over here and had a few resurgences throughout the weekend which was cool to see happen.
I originally wanted to make a full version honoring the MAD video that got deleted off Youtube a bit ago (loved just watching it randomly sometimes) but due to time constraints and some PC issues i'm facing atm (rip my CPU) I never was able to finish the full thing, but when I hopefully get those resolved I'll try to see if i can eventually make a full version.
I dont normally post Uma content btw (I'm more vtuber centric) but i'll consider posting some more stuff in the future outside of me posting random CM aces and me getting second in every CM finals.
Also if you wanted to watch the video just click the tweet under this one, there's no difference between that and the one I put over on Youtube (plus I hate putting links in posts cause I think they look awful).
Was honestly funny af to see the giant Uma plushies at basically every gathering throughout the weekend and everyone treating them like royalty
Before I go home tomorrow I wanted to go get one more photo where things were originally supposed to happen.
Honestly, being here right now, it kinda brings a lot of weird emotions because, when you think about it, had everything went to plan, the moments and memories I had this weekend wouldn’t have existed, like meeting and connecting with the people I did from all across the globe and experiencing a sense of community with those people, especially with the Japanese trainers, who even with the language barrier, did their best to connect with everyone in their own way as we all felt the same about the concert being canceled and that was something special you don’t normally see or feel, hell I’ll argue had the concert originally gone through I don’t think I would have had as much interaction with the JP trainers nor do I think as much interaction in general between JP/EN trainers would have happened, but I’m glad to see a lot them tell their stories of how accommodating and friendly people were to them through their trips amidst it all.
And even online you could see the passion for Uma break the language barrier multiple times for the highlights of the weekend as people made the best of it all.
Hopefully that passion shows that one day Umamusume will be able to make it out here to America in some way, with a big hope from myself that the original cast that was planned to come here would be able to make it out (even if that’s a long shot)
And finally to everyone I met and everyone I already knew around, thanks for making it a fun and memorable weekend.

Fun story from the Trackside event,
Went off to see the clubhouse area of the Santa Anita track and sat down for a few drinks, the area was on the complete opposite side of where the trackside event was taking place so there were little to no anime or Uma fans around there outside of them entering or leaving through there and it was more the normal crowd that attended the horse races, but that gave good opportunity for me to sit and chat while having a drink with anyone in the area that was curious about the event (I had a Satono Diamond happi on so some people were curious to ask about what was going on)
I gave some of them the history on what was Uma in general, about how the concert got cancelled, why there were more Japanese visitors lately, etc.
One person even expressed they really liked seeing Forever Young win last years Breeders Cup (since it was hosted close by at the Del Mar race track a few hours south so a bunch of locals went) and they didn’t even know he was owned by Cygames so they enjoyed learning about Uma through that.
I guess my point is, a lot of the people who are regulars there are honestly pretty curious about the event most likely and are prob likely to enjoy having a small chat about it since they’re just as passionate about horse racing as many of the people showing up for the horse girls, and you’re likely to find a lot of them know about big JP horses that have done well over in American soil like Cesario, Loves only You and Forever Young (of course), and even talking about how a lot of Japanese horse lineage comes from Sunday Silence was interesting to a few people who didn’t know about that since he was a big name in America during the late 80’s and early 90’s.
And Idk maybe my other point is to try to tell people to try and spark a conversation on day 2 of trackside you never know might lead to a fun talk with people who are just passionate as you are.
