I am Rapier. I have a “real” name, but such has been rended from me by a thousand lifetimes of melancholy, pain, heartbreak, and, most importantly… Decay. I no longer lament this. There is nothing to lament,

Maybe Scroll has grown beyond needing me. Maybe she never did. Maybe she needs to handle…whatever this is…on her own. I love her.

Mm. Mine and my Petite Fleur’s Duel is tomorrow…if she is able to attend, that is. I think I will embrace her for a long time, regardless of the outcome. I miss her.

I find myself transported to my childhood home. My mother is there, too. I had just put up an exceptionally poor performance in a junior league. I was…tch…eleven. She tore a fingernail for every lunge she felt should have hit. I relive that moment. Quite unsettling.

Full disclosure: wildly depressed and dissociated as my life is collapsing. This is why I haven’t been active very much, but Scroll v. Rapier is something I’ve been looking forward to for some time, so I’m going to try and be active. There ya go. I’ll probably be ok. 🤍 //
