If we could have torn down and rebuilt tokamaks this quickly we'd have had fusion back in the 80s...
Move faster, makes it cheaper, increases risk tolerance, makes it faster. Repeat The project management triangle is a lie. Its not a trade off its a cycle. You can chose if it's virtuous or vicious.

How we know the charge carrier in a superconductor is a "Cooper Pair" 2 electrons in a loosely bound state with each other. Each one of these dots has one pair spinning around it!!
like seriously look at this:

The DOE have selected our collaboration with Ben Zhu at Columbia and for support as part of the INFUSE Program!
So good to see the dipole alive again in the minds of the community. Check out these latest models from Columbia!

Introducing SCRUB-1: teaching a robot arm to support the scrub tech with instrument work. Tested on the bench. We fine-tuned π0.5 from @physical_int on three tasks: 300 demonstrations each, 403 trials scored live. Fine-tuning took the handoff from 0% to 79%.

Boom! $100m Series A to bring ultrafast inference for open source. We believe the demand for ultrafast inference will be many times larger than slow inference. But right now it's never made it to market at scale. We are here to change it. First racks live in Q1 2027 🚀 Massive thank you to @jamespalmer13 at @BlackbirdVC and @dkwon98 at @abstractvc for co-leading. + participation from @QEDInvestors, @645ventures, @carbideventures, @endeavor_global and @ausgulfcapital, @icehouse_ventures and bold capital partners. Final hat tip to our entire cap table who doubled down. No better feeling as a founder than getting this level of conviction from your existing backers. @maxkilberg, @adwane and @bencasnocha from @villageglobal (pre-seed) @camborumand from @Fuse_vc (seed) @jthassel from evercrest (Seed) @morganschwanke from @manaventures (pre seed) @salil from Uncorrelated Ventures (seed) @themichaelljgo from @plugandplaytc (angel / pre seed) Spicy chips are going mainstream 🌶️ nitter.cf/general_compute/status…
🚨 Big news today: We’ve raised $100M for our Series A! 🎉 🚀 We believe demand for fast inference is many times larger than demand for slow inference, and it’s about to go exponential. Thanks to our co-leads @BlackbirdVC and @Abstractvc. Two visionary partners join our journey 🎉 🚀

Immediate application of this should be for the refurbishment of existing single crystal parts where process speed will be almost a non issue.

thank you @MarathonFusion team for coming on mts studio live, and sharing the story of building a fusion reactor in san francisco!
Marathon Fusion CEO @kylecschiller explains why superintelligence could do far more for fusion than for solar panels: "There’s all this discourse around what we’re going to do in the future when we have superintelligence. We’re probably not going to optimize solar panels that much harder. They’re already very close to the maximally efficient end state of what a solar panel is." "I think about how bad fusion is today, and I get really excited instead of depressed." "We have this machine that the more intelligence we throw at it, the better it gets at spitting out energy, and also all other forms of matter. That’s the thing I wanna bet on." @jfp_fusioneer @MarathonFusion

my neighbors in SF are building fusion reactors they've turned mercury into gold, built the world's most powerful plasma centrifuge, and are on track to set the power density record in 2027 I spent a week with them working on a rave, brand, web, pics, vids, and witnessing many successful fusion pulses

I was lucky enough to meet Adam in the early days of marathon. 5 hours walking the streets of Tokyo and I had decided he was one of the smartest people I'd ever met. The best product of out-the-box x practical thinker I had come across. He did not disappoint.
Nothing can replace the millennia-enduring allure of alchemy. What an incredible time to be alive.

I don't quite get why every everyone is so bearish on gold. This is just an upgrade to gold's proof of work algo. And now the proof of work produces energy instead of consuming it!
Gold is fucked, got it.

General transmutation would be a very valuable achievement.

Calling it now, Alchemic gold will increase production making gold a more attractive and effective form of money, increasing demand and price.
Lab grown diamonds crashed the price of diamonds. What will lab grown gold do to the price of gold?
