John Mearsheimer says the real story isn't that Trump is abandoning Ukraine. It's that economic realities are reshaping U.S. strategy.
According to Mearsheimer, Washington needs Russian oil and diesel flowing into global markets to help avoid deeper economic disruption, which is why Trump is resisting tougher sanctions and pressuring Ukraine not to target Russian energy infrastructure.
"He can't abandon Ukraine because the deep state won't let him do that….Trump is no match for the deep state." The supreme contradiction and tension is palpable: Trump, the deep state, Europe, and Ukraine, are all working at cross purposes, but there is no path to ever succeed in helping Ukraine defeat Russia, yet they also won’t walk away, which merely keeps the war on life support, and Ukrainian deaths continuing into astronomical territory.
Mearsheimer’s conclusion: Ukraine support continues, but the priority is making sure the war doesn't interfere with critical global energy flows.

This is from a half baked Journalist and a mouthpiece for corrupt genocidal political system ( not the current government). Tamils are unable to even talk about atrocities made on them due to fear of oppression.
His father - the terrorist he was - took the lives of many many children for his own selfish goals, including the lives of many many Tamil children who he forcibly recruited as child soldiers to fight for him.
When I had entered the LTTE controlled areas to intw Thamilselvan back then, I saw these Tamil children holding guns in their hands when they should have been holding books!
I don’t accept this child’s alleged death but at the same time I don’t accept the killing of every other child which Prabhakaran and his terrorist outfit did!

🚨 Ontario backed capital is now being used to bulk buy Toronto condos at discounted prices during one of the weakest new condo markets in years.
High Art Capital paid $22.3M for 43 unsold units at Line 5, averaging about $518K per condo.
The $1.3B private fund is backed by up to $300M in financing from Ontario’s Building Ontario Fund and plans to acquire roughly 2,200 unsold GTA condos.
The units will become rentals, with 550 expected to remain permanently affordable. Most of the remaining units are expected to be sold after a minimum five-year hold.
Another sign of just how dramatically Toronto’s condo market has changed.
