Though, honestly, there’s nothing sneaky about it if you’ve ever lived there.

My 20 year old wanted to vote for El-Sayed, but we live in NC, so he settled for Roy Cooper.

When you come upon it unexpectedly at night, there is no other war memorial so eerie and arresting.
Forty years ago, on October 28, 1986, Congress authorized the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Today, its 19 stainless steel statues stand as a powerful tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Americans who fought in defense of freedom. Photo by Nathan Jones

Watching the TB Rays trying so hard to drag out their eventual demise is a surprisingly fascinating watch.

Sometimes I like an NC State football post without even reading it because I feel sorry for them.

My youngest son just turned four a few days ago, and someone at church asked him how old he was. He very confidently replied, “Four, but I’m almost five.”

Recommended reading: “The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors” by the late Naval historian James D. Hornfischer. Not sure there will ever again be a more David vs. Goliath story on the high seas. A beautiful tribute to the heroic men of Taffy 3, who defied overwhelming odds
Can't locate a single US Navy survivor from the biggest naval battle of all time, which started today: the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Not one. Not one of the legendary 1,700 Tin Can Sailors. Not one from the entire US naval force. All gone.

My 9-year-old son just asked me “why are the Rays wearing gas station jerseys?” Definitely my kid. 😂

"The Last Stand of Fox Company" by Bob Drury and Tom Calvin about so many of our Marines being completely surrounded at the Chosin Reservoir. Brutal to read given the totally horrendous -40 temperatures and waves of suicidal enemy charges. Mad respect to those men.
What’s your favorite Korean War book?
