ANTHROPIC BUILDS BIOLOGY LAB TO PUSH AI INTO DRUG DEVELOPMENT
Anthropic has quietly established a Bay Area wet lab, moving its life-sciences ambitions beyond computer simulations and into physical biological experiments.
The company wants Claude to direct laboratory robots with limited human intervention, potentially accelerating research into rare and traditionally “undruggable” diseases.
Anthropic says it will focus on preclinical research rather than clinical trials, avoiding direct competition with pharmaceutical companies.

Right now outside they’re singing Solidarity Forever and planning to link arms around the whole building. Over a renovation. Over a name. The ceiling has been dumping plaster for years, and suddenly it’s a revolution because Trump touched it.
These people do not care if the place is rotting. They care that he wins. So they show up with choir voices and a human chain like they’re storming the Bastille over a concert hall.
This is what passes for serious protest in this town.
