Reading AM Regatta 1842

It’s looking peaceful at the start but in three hours time this will be very different! #Rar #ReadingAm. Can’t wait for today !

Reading Amateur Regatta 13th and 14th June. The Committee and volunteers are working hard this week to get everything ready. We look forward to seeing you on our stretch of the Thames.

RAR entries open at noon on 24th April 2026! Set you alarm!⏰

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that Andrew Wilbey passed away just before Christmas. He helped RAR for over 40 years serving in virtually every role during his tenure including Chair and President. He will be missed by all on the Committee and those at the river bank.

Welcome to day 2 of Reading Amateur Regatta. We race over 1000m on Sunday. Big thanks to the course team for moving the start raft and getting the course ready. We can see some of the competitors checking out the course near the commentary position.

Thank you to the site team; @ReadingRC and James Denny (Mudlark) for getting the site ready today looking great!

Some great racing on the course!

Safety boats and medical are brought to you by OXSAR and Tactical Medical. Thank you for supporting Reading Amateur Regatta and club rowing. @oxsar

Thank you to all of our umpires. You do an amazing job for us. Al is chairman of the race committee and organises his team. They all umpire most weekends to keep clubs racing each weekend. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Huge thank you to our course team who get up very early to get the course finalised for you to race on. They work on Friday evening and finish Saturday morning and lay about 100 buoys including these two huge ones which mark the start and finish of the course.
