Glad to be back again on @TheTilehurstEnd to create another breakdown of the month 馃槂. Interesting to go over our stats and performances during a month in which we played well during games in which we lost and played below par in games we ended up winning馃.
鈿斤笍 Do #ReadingFC play better when they have less of the ball? @ReadingFC_Stats examines that and much more - including how the Royals have been scoring and conceding goals - in his in-depth review of October.

Looking at our passing and both teams had a horrible game today, every single stat is well below each teams average and well below the leagues. I don't know why both played so poorly but it resulted in a game with a lot or turnover.

Overall, I think a point at Plymouth is a good result, one of the harder teams in the league so good to get something from it. A difficult run of games coming up, with us playing 3 of the top 6 away in our next 4 league games, hopefully we can come away on top #readingfc.

Disappointing to waste some decent attacks and miss on a valuable 3 points, but if you offered me a draw against a decent Plymouth side on their turf I would take it. #ReadingFC

#readingfc second goal came from a some quick passes to catch the Barnsley defence out of shape. Wing is able to intercept the ball and get it to Stokes. Lisbie is then able to sit on the last man and get in behind, and tuck the ball in-between the keepers legs.

Overall, it was a very scrappy game in general, and was definitely not a good performance from #readingfc. However we were still able to get the result which in the end is all that matters. Hopefully we can improve our performances before a string of difficult away days.

Was very much a good result from a poor performance. Neither side looked brilliant but its good we were still able to get the result. #readingfc

Jacob Brown plays better as an impact sub rather than a starter. Think it's safe to say, Reid can outmuscle and lead the line better for the majority of games. #readingfc

Looking at #readingfc goal, we can see it came from some good movement from Lisbie, Wing and Stokes who are able to win it high up the pitch. Wing then does well to play the ball and utilise some space to provide Reid with an option, before laying it off to Lane to smash it.

Overall, this was probably #readingfc worse game in attacking and creating chances, but was saved by our performance in the other areas of the pitch. The result was what we needed after Wigan, and hopefully we can get back to our typical performances before Barnsley.
