JUST IN: French blood bank hit by cyber attack with blood samples being heated to 110 degrees Celsius from their maintained -30, per Le Canard Enchaîné.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 110 °C figure was the value hacked equipment was reprogrammed to reach, which does not mean the cold rooms or plasma bags actually reached 110 °C. France's health ministry said the anomalies were spotted in time, with no operational consequences. cyberattaque.org/cyberattaque-c…

Al Arabiya: Iranian television broadcasts a warning to citizens in the event of a nuclear strike: Do not look at the intense explosion light, lie on the ground, and cover your head and face. - Do not look at the intense explosion light, take shelter behind a barrier, lie on the ground, and cover your head and face. - After the blast wave passes, enter the nearest building; do not stay to watch or take photos, do not take shelter inside a car, and stay away from windows and exterior walls. - Wash with lukewarm water and soap, and use regular shampoo without conditioner; if showering is not possible, clean your face, hands, and exposed skin with water or wet wipes. - Use bottled water and packaged food, and prepare to stay in the shelter for at least 24 hours; if fires break out in the building or its collapse is feared, move to a safer shelter. - Do not assume the environment is safe after 24 hours; follow official announcements and emergency broadcasts for the safe evacuation route.

The scale of coordination of this attack is absolutely insane. From Stockholm to Palermo, whoever is behind this has shown they want to target Europe as a whole: at 21:00, 13 European countries have signaled possible cyberattacks today: 🇧🇪 Belgium 🇩🇰 Denmark 🇪🇪 Estonia 🇫🇮 Finland 🇩🇪 Germany 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇮🇹 Italy 🇱🇺 Luxembourg 🇳🇱 Netherlands 🇵🇱 Poland 🇵🇹 Portugal 🇷🇴 Romania 🇸🇪 Sweden As a reminder, under NATO and EU doctrine, a serious enough cyberattack can count as an armed attack and trigger Article 5 or the EU's mutual assistance clause. It is clear they want to test of our reaction. Got any idea who that could possibly be?
🇧🇪🇸🇪🇱🇺🇮🇪🇪🇺 Europe's food supply is under cyberattack. Overnight, hackers took control of fridges and freezers in dozens of supermarkets across Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg and Ireland. Some were pushed to 50°C. Food had to be thrown away. Three weeks ago, hundreds of French supermarkets were hit the same way. This is what the attackers want to do: empty our shelves and disrupt our supplies. Our societies are under attack, every single day. Those denying and minimising are betraying their people. ft.com/content/2526056c-c616…

UPDATE: Yes, I had to make another update. Upon further research, the total is now 12 countries affected by the European refrigeration cyberattack. 🇸🇪 Sweden 🇧🇪 Belgium 🇱🇺 Luxembourg 🇪🇪 Estonia 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇳🇱 Netherlands 🇫🇮 Finland 🇩🇰 Denmark 🇮🇹 Italy 🇷🇴 Romania 🇩🇪 Germany 🇵🇹 Portugal 🇫🇷 France has likely been affected as well, but this remains unconfirmed.
UPDATE: The European refrigeration cyberattack has now reached Italy and Romania, bringing the total to at least 10 countries affected across Europe. In Italy, several Coop stores in Sicily were hit, including at least three in Catania and one in Palermo. In Romania, at least six stores have reportedly been affected. Some affected businesses have yet to publicly disclose the incidents, meaning the actual number of countries and locations impacted could be even higher. The full scale of this cyberattack remains unknown. Countries affected so far: 🇸🇪 Sweden 🇧🇪 Belgium 🇱🇺 Luxembourg 🇪🇪 Estonia 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇳🇱 Netherlands 🇫🇮 Finland 🇩🇰 Denmark 🇮🇹 Italy 🇷🇴 Romania

Hackers targeted emergency alert apps in Russia and Ukraine on November 1-2, sending false warnings of nuclear attacks, radiation, and chemical threats. In Ukraine, the Air Alert app was compromised, sending fake warnings of radiation, street fighting, and an impending Russian Oreshnik missile strike. The app’s developers confirmed the breach and later restored the service. In Russia, users were falsely warned of incoming nuclear warheads, with alerts reportedly spreading through official emergency services’ Telegram channels in at least nine regions. Both incidents occurred around the same time, but there is no evidence linking them.

BREAKING: 🇸🇪 Swedish grocery giant ICA, one of Sweden's largest supermarket chains, says several of its stores have been hit by a cyberattack overnight, causing refrigerators and freezers to be remotely set to 50°C. The incident has likely resulted in large quantities of food spoiling. Multiple stores, including ICA Kvantum in Sjöbo and Tomelilla, have reported being affected. ICA says stores will remain closed during the morning and are expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m. Swedish time. The company has apologized to customers and says it is working to restore normal operations. The incident comes amid a wave of cyberattacks targeting businesses recent weeks, following similar incidents reported in France and the United States.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸 The Pentagon is treating a series of mysterious freezer malfunctions at US military bases across the country in August, which resulted in large quantities of food being spoiled at military commissaries, as a suspected cyberattack. The incidents affected at least six military commissaries, where food was spoiled after refrigeration units had their temperatures raised overnight. US military investigators are also in contact with French counterparts following the similar cyberattack on commercial refrigeration systems in France earlier this month, affecting more than 350 establishments. The Pentagon has confirmed that a US Cyber Command unit is working with government agencies and law enforcement. The US Army Criminal Investigation Division is also involved. Investigators have not publicly confirmed the cause or identified those responsible. The new information reveals that the August incidents are now being investigated as a potential case of cyber-sabotage targeting food storage and supply chains.
