I have a lot to say, so this is going to be a two part post. I know I have a lot of folks who follow me that are Christian or at the least claim to be. You follow me, I assume because you agree with or like most of the stuff I post and share. But at the end of the day all you know about me, is based on my posts. You don't really know me as a person. So, let me share some things with you. I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (John 14:6, Romans 10:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) my faith is in Him alone and His finished work on the cross. Because of my faith in Him, I am saved by His grace alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). I believe the salvation I have in Jesus is secure by the Holy Spirit in me (Ephesians 4:30). I am a child of God, a new creation in Christ Jesus.(Romans 8:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17, ) I am no teacher, I am no preacher, I am in no way shape or form a theologian or anything of the sort and I would never try to pretend to be. What I am is a believer, continuing to learn and grow in my relationship with my Lord and Savior. I was raised in an Assemblies of God church, which was basically Penticostal. I was lead in what some call the sinners prayer as a young child. Only God knows for sure if I was saved then or not, I honestly can't say. I was raised under the false teaching you could lose your salvation, due to this false teaching, I spent the majority of my life trapped in a cycle of sin, shame, guilt, and fear of God. My Thinking was poluted by false doctrine to the point I thought I was going to hell every time I sined. It caused me to have a negative view of who God is. I felt like God loved me only because He was obligated by His own word to do so. It was a missrable existance. It wasn't till 2019 I was finaly set free from the chains of addiction, the sin that had me prissoner was gone. I was free by the power of Jesus Christ. In that moment I can honestly say I was saved. Shortly after I met some very kind, loving brothers and sisters in Christ, who showed me and helped explain to me how we are saved, how our salvation is secure in Jesus and can not be lost. They also helped me realize God loves, not out of obligation, but out of genuine, pure and perfect love. God wasn't mad at me, He wasn't looking for an excuse to drop in hell like a digarded piece of trash. No He loved me, He wanted me set free, He wanted a relationship with me. That realizatiin was life changing. It also gave me a strong disdain for religion in general. So, now, today I know who I am in Jesus Christ. No more fear, no more doubt, just an unwavering confidence in my God. I have a better understand of religion vs relationship and I am very suspicious if anything that sounds like false doctrine. Some times, I'm too quick to judge or go on the attack. But the Lord is faithful, He is still working on me and will complete the work He started (Philippians 1:6). Now, you know what I believe, and how I started believing this way. As for my Hobbies... well, that needs another post, it will also circle around to why I'm making 2 large posts to talk about myself.
