"Most diverse cabinet Virginia has ever seen" *Posts photo that's 6/8 black with 0 Asians, 0 Hispanics, and 0 white men* That's not diversity. It's pandering.
I’m proud to have the most talented, hardest-working cabinet in Virginia’s history. They are also the most diverse cabinet Virginia has ever seen. Every single one of our cabinet secretaries were selected because they’re the best of the best in their respective fields. They also bring invaluable perspectives from across the Commonwealth — from Danville, Hampton Roads, Richmond, NOVA, and more. I’m grateful to get to work with these incredibly dedicated, hard-working, and talented cabinet officials to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia. richmond.com/opinion/column/…

None of the Cornell boys have been charged with a crime, much less convicted. But Netflix is already launching a documentary assuming Jane Doe's allegations are true and that this college let these boys get away with rape. Because who needs facts when you can get clicks?

I feel like a) kids are way too coddled these days and we should expect far more of them than we do, but also b) a 14-year-old is a little young to be put in charge of three younger siblings for days at a time. Maybe that's just me.

A 29-year-old sex offender who identifies as both "transgender" and a cat - yes, A CAT - has been arrested in Minnesota after trying to impersonate a teenage girl in order to enroll in a local high school. For the SECOND time.

We're JUST beginning to course correct from the disastrous results of letting theater kids with BIG HEARTS implement very stupid policies in major cities across the U.S. And look I'm not blackpilling but why the hell would Americans get to the polls on Tuesday and think “hell yeah let's do more of that.”
wild ruling out of Seattle that @PHLCouncil needs to read. a builder put $39M into 254 low-income apartments locked at 60% AMI for 30 years. from 2015 to 2018 it worked, collecting ~94% of rent. then Seattle stacked on "tenant protections": banned criminal background checks, banned winter evictions, required 180 days notice for rent hikes + 3 months relocation pay, and forced the owner to let unscreened roommates move in and take over leases. result: rent collections dropped from 93.9% to 44.1%!!! the building lost nearly $6M through 2023 ($2.7M in 2023 alone) and is now appraised as functionally worthless. the city bankrupted actual affordable housing lol. the appeals court just ruled the owner can sue Seattle for an unconstitutional taking. when you strip a landlord's right to screen, collect rent or remove non-paying tenants, it's not "regulation" anymore, you took the building…. Philly has half these laws already 🙄 courts.wa.gov/opinions/pdf/8…

Look, you can believe that a person who is here without proper documentation, whether purposefully or inadvertently, should be deported without subscribing to whatever performative hot garbage this is

CBS got absolutely roasted in this interview. It’s so embarrassing, I’ll give them a couple pity points for even airing any of it at all.
A conversation with @60Minutes on rapists and murderers, which they declined to include.

Notice how she doesn’t tell you HOW he died. If she tells you that, her talking point falls apart. So she leaves it out. He killed himself.
Another person has died in ICE custody — this is the 28th known death this year. The cruelty of this rogue agency is beyond unconscionable. Abolish ICE.

Do I have any fish tank people on here who can recommend a good sand vacuum? All the ones I’ve tried do okay with gravel but just kinda churn up sand and then get clogged.

I’m not saying that our system is perfect or that it can’t be complicated at times, but I know way too many people who immigrated legally to buy the line that all these poor people tried their best but just couldn’t make heads or tails of an impossible process.

Apparently a lot of people need to be told today that managing to avoid deportation for decades is all the more reason to kick you out, not a reason for you to stay. You don’t get a gold medal and a free pass for successfully breaking the law longer than someone else. (Also apparently this dude lied about being gay to avoid getting the boot, but I guess we don’t mention inconvenient details.)
This guy is a devout Christian who was granted protection from his home country because Islamist terrorists are trying to institute sharia law. He's lived here half his life. He's married to an American & has American kids. This is not who the government should be targeting.

Learing Center math.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar writes in her memoir, “I was eight years old when civil war broke out in Somalia. One day everything was okay, and the next, there were bullets piercing not only buildings but also people.” While Somalia has suffered several civil wars, the chapter is entitled, “War: 1989-1991, Mogadishu, Somalia.” Mogadishu experienced severe riots in July 1989, including a mass execution that became known as the “Jazeera beach massacre.” If, in her own words in her own autobiography, Omar was eight when this occurred in 1989, then she was born in 1981, and was 19 years old in the year 2000, when her father purportedly obtained his citizenship, not 1982 as she currently claims.

I’m concerned that out of valid love and compassion for a friend, some people are straying dangerously toward the position that immigration law should be selectively applied based on ideology, behavior, character, etc. We all agree that good people are preferable to bad ones. But when you say certain “good” illegal aliens should stay while “bad” ones should be booted, you are undermining the entire premise for deportation, which is simple legal status. The minute you begin selectively applying the law based on whether you like someone rather than whether the law has been violated, you destroy the whole foundation of the law. Would I personally line up the illegal alien criminals and the fraudsters and the terrorists first, if only to mitigate risk as quickly as possible? You bet. Do I think certain illegal aliens are hard-working people who simply want to live in peace? Sure. But that’s not the point. You are either here legally, or you are not. And ICE realistically cannot go person-by-person down a priority list. We catch who we catch. And the law that mandates we deport “good” illegal aliens is the same one that allows us to deport “bad” ones. You cannot have one without the other.

I don’t know the details of Sam Sey’s case. I have seen claims that perhaps he didn’t realize his paperwork wasn’t in order. I suppose that’s plausible given how complicated the process can be and the fact that Sam is so publicly outspoken against illegal immigration. That’s a pretty serious hypocrisy to risk being caught in. But generally speaking, I don’t think most illegal immigration is a paperwork oversight, and making sure your documents are correct is ultimately on the migrant, regardless. If you’re celebrating his removal because he’s a black man (married to a white woman, to boot), that is vile. Wanting someone out because they are illegal, refuse to assimilate, espouse anti-American ideologies, etc. is simply good sense. Wanting someone out because they aren’t white is racist. But most of his critics don’t fall into that category, at least on my timeline. They are good Americans who are tired of being emotionally manipulated and who are angry that a Christian man who spent his career preaching respect for the law and against illegal immigration may have knowingly been living the exact opposite. That would warrant outrage. Even if it was an honest oversight on his part, he likely should’ve been more diligent, especially given his outspoken support for the legal system. In that case, I would not be angry, but I would be frustrated. And we can debate the complexity of the process, but the law must hold. Yes, his wife and children matter. But no more so than the wives and children of illegal aliens who get caught and deported every day, whether from ignorance, negligence, or flagrant disregard for the law. And people are tired of being told that Well This One Is Different because [insert sob story here]. I know Sam to be a good, America-loving, God-fearing man, and I will wait for more details. If it turns out it was an error/paperwork discrepancy and he is able to stay, I will rejoice, because I want him here. But I support ICE, our laws, and my country. And if their account is correct, then it is what it is, my friends.

Every illegal alien should be sent home. Who they are is irrelevant. Any person unjustly accused of violating US immigration law should have their day in court to be exonerated. I believe that is a rarity, but if and when it happens, it should be made right. If they are indeed found to be here unlawfully, they go home and can reapply through whatever means is available to them. The law must be fairly, equally, and clearly applied.
