This time, I had gone to a new injector after seeing the same girl previously for 10 years. Someone so many girls at work recommended. This was my second appointment with him.
It turned out he wasn't a doctor. He had lost his license nearly 10 years ago for dr*gging a colleague.
What he injected into my face wasn't filler.
We don't know with certainty what it was, but we know it wasn't all filler. They believe he cut it with an acid that was never intended to come into contact with skin, let alone be injected into your skin.
The result was necrosis.
A medical term I had never heard until it was something I was dealing with. The acid burned right through my cheek on one side. I have a literal hole right through my cheek.
I'm being told I'll heal. In fact, I'm being told I'm healing well considering the damage that was done.
Physically.
Mentally, I can't say the same.”
