Don't be so definsive, Udi
i used to believe this — that the fact the bitcoin protocol was never hacked is a testament to solid engineering — but i no longer do the reward for “hacking the protocol” is much smaller than people think if the protocol gets hacked the entire bitcoin economy quickly definsively shuts down. exchanges, wallets, miners, payment processors, all of them halt transactions very quickly and unlike newer crypto networks, bitcoin natively has severe rate limits. so there’s just not a whole lot of damage you can cause by the time the economy shuts down early crypto-anarchists believed that governments would hack bitcoin to destroy confidence and kill it. but even if that was ever the case (needs citation) it certainly isn’t the case now. governments have much bigger issues to worry about and they don’t seem to be concerned about bitcoin in any way shape or form socially, a “protocol hack” is almost guaranteed to be rolled back. if your coins are stolen in eg coldcard wallet hack, no one’s coming to save you. so really if you’re gonna steal you’d better steal at the application level and not at the protocol level all of that is to say that even purely bad actors can’t justify a large investment to try and break the protocol. a small investment? maybe. but i’m quite sure nobody ever threw say 100 years of human security research time at it BUT now there’s a cheap way to get 10 years of human security research time!

Your system is a joke. Just shut up and get lost.
You can move L-BTC to any other wallet that supports Liquid. The issue is peg operations and not enabled now so. It looks like you’re trying to sent it out over a Lightning swap, which has been down for a month since Boltz shutdown. We’re working on getting LQ/LN swaps back, and Blockstream is working on restoring peg-out operations.

If decentralization depends on the "good will" of this or that miner, I have bad news...
Straight from my clanker @cguida6 @GrassFedBitcoin @LukeDashjr I am ~2% over my 30% target depending depending on the 120/240-block network window and have not crossed 24hrs since enforcement. Lets hold this discussion in the true court of public opinion, not your personal echo chamber. Dynamic governor deployed for ~30% and DATUM work continues on my side, as stated. Corroborated by your blockchain and your own block explorer, not my own data. AlphaPool is already down to 37% of blocks and it has only been ~19hrs. Wow guys! It is almost like I did exactly what TF I said I would do!

Suitcoin is imploding faster than any forkcoin ever has. I expected they'll have debased it into oblivion before the next two halvings.
Bcashjr is imploding faster than any forkcoin ever has. I estimate they’ll have purged each other into oblivion before the end of September.

Lets try an actual test of principles, which I believe I've heard you claim you have. Imagine you get to hold one of two coins starting at the same price. Coin A is centralized, captured by institutions, infested with spam, an embarrassment to its founding ideals, is digital capital/permissionless blockspace instead of money, and just made it easier for scum to store pictures of your family or street address with threatening messages for the remainder of history at the expense of node runners. BUT... it's going to be worth 1 million USD cuckbucks a coin. Coin B is decentralized, run by people who care about its founding principles as freedom money, and actually has the means, motive, and balls necessary to defend itself against attacks. BUT... it's going to be worth 1 USD cuckbucks a coin. Which do you choose? Now, I can understand all sorts of complex, Machiavellian arguments for Coin A. Most people aren't made of stone. But if you're in it for NGU, fvcking OWN it and don't pretend it's about anything else.

That coin is already infinitely worse off than bcash and bsv ever were. But best of luck to you.

Bitcoin now exists both as BTC and B2B simultaneously and indefinitely - BOTH ARE STILL BITCOIN. And it's a Feature, Not a Bug. Let me explain why and how ... Are you aware of "the Double Slit Experiment?" Do you understand the concepts of Superposition, and Quantum Entanglement? Bitcoin is an entity of pure electricity ⚡️ that can exist in superposition And therefore cannot be bound by any cage, or captured by any government or institution. When the powers that be think they have captured it, Bitcoin can change its state and essentially teleport out of the cage and reform itself. Now ... Think of what happens on your computer OS when it becomes loaded with bloatware. It starts glitching and acting sluggish. You know there's something going on the background but you don't know what it is. You try everything but at some point, you have to choose to use a "System Restore Point" By choosing that restore point, you change the state of your operating system to a prior state when it was in "solid" working order and didn't have the bugs. It's not that it's a different operating system. It's the same operating system. It just changed states to an earlier state. In Bitcoin, both a soft and hard fork act as a system restore point, but in this case, it also accomplishes something very, very crucial - the resulting chain-split once again separates money from state ⚡️🤩 IF BITCOIN, AS BTC, IS CAPTURED (as it clearly is with KYC, Wall St. derivatives, etc.) BITCOIN AS "B2B" IS NOT! And yet BOTH ARE STILL BITCOIN. The reason is because Bitcoin can exist in multiple states of being simultaneously and indefinitely What good is the longest chain if it is corrupt? Therefore "longest chain" cannot be the sole determining factor of what bitcoin is. Bitcoin Core has no claim on Bitcoin The soul of bitcoin is the maintenance and restoration of its CORE PRINCIPLES... not Core as a developer implementation. This is a key differentiation to understand. Money separated and beyond the control of the State is the soul, the ethos and the goal of what the "real" Bitcoin is. And whatever chain most successfully embodies, and accomplishes this should be hailed as the "real" Bitcoin. When Core colluded with the ruling mining pools to usurp power - the soft fork and hard fork of bitcoin are its "super powers" - It's when it changes states. You're not betraying anybody if you support the B2B chain as well as the BTC chain. It doesn't have to be an "either or" choice at this point If you are unsure which to support, then just look at this as a temporary diversification option for your Bitcoin portfolio. Nobody's gonna judge you for that But in my estimation, B2B is the harder chain because it has stricter rules that it is willing to do the work to enforce. I have this conviction because I know the characteristics of a sound money and BTC has made too many concessions and compromises to the principles held by Sound Money purists. Of course time will tell which way this ultimately plays out - But I hope these concepts help you understand why you're still a Bitcoiner regardless of what Bitcoin chain you're on. Cheers 🤜⚡️🤛

Changing to a new algorithm is a reboot that will suffice in the short term. But I want to see work on finding a way to prevent another big miner takeover. Make nodes important again. Forever.

Patiently waiting for the Blake2b POW change. Bitcoin is proving its antrifragility despite being written off by fiat maxis and big blockers. Tick tock, next block
